I think we all do the same thing as ved was doing. We all are very well mannered and disciplined in office which is very much required there and we all take breaks and go the some holiday destinations where we live free and live our owned personality. Atleast in my case I do such things and I don't find problems in doing that. Ved was also doing the same things.

I think there is lot of difference. A person who is aware of his / her fake life and struggling to live the kind of life he / she wants to live is completely different from a person who is living a life and has no problem with this easily managing it. Tamasha is about the first person and not the second one. He was living a disciplined life in his office only by suppressing his desires and he could not control himself when Tara came into his life and made him aware of his reality. Good to know that you are balancing your life and find no issue in your life but Ved's story was completely different and that's the struggle which is shown in the movie. 🙏

I think what imtiaz did wrong was that when his personality starts conflicting in office or in party he created comic scenes which also sort of exaggerated his performance and became over the top.... Instead of giving comical treatment to it he should have directed or written in a scene in a very serious or intense dramatic manner ....

I get your point here. But what I think is a bit different. First of all it's not clear if Ved is having personality conflicts for real or he was doing it out of frustration from the fake world he was living in or the fake person maybe he was trying to be in that world. I like to believe that it was out of frustration that he was doing those things, like majority of us do when we no longer want to confront anything seriously because we dont have the courage then we try to do all sorts of sarcastic things to cover up our frustration. I think it was that. 🙏
