Tambour Door Cabinet - Walnut Wine Storage Tour

Take a tour through one of my favorite furniture builds. This tambour door wine and liquor cabinet is made of solid figured walnut and a burled walnut veneer. Furniture design nods to Poritz and Studio and Philip Morley. Exposed tambour can be a unique detail added to many furniture designs. Wine cabinets and liquor cabinets are popular builds to feature the woodworking technique. Similar to a roll top desk, the movement of the sliding doors is a modern adaptation.

Well done James. The grain is crazy. I agree with exposing the tambour, I bet not many people have seen that feature exposed.

I actually am doing the same thing as my Journeymans piece - i sawed the individual stripes before veneering and cut them afterwards with a scalpell. It worked pretty good :)
