Geometrical Construction | How to construct parallel lines

To construct parallel lines using basic geometric tools, such as a ruler and a compass, follow these steps:
Start with a given line: Begin by drawing a line segment that will serve as a reference line. This line will be used to construct the parallel lines.
Place the compass on a point: Select any point on the reference line and place the sharp point of the compass on that point.
Set the compass width: Without changing the compass width, draw an arc that intersects the reference line on both sides.
Maintain the compass width: Without changing the compass width, place the compass point on the intersection points of the arcs you just drew. Draw arcs above and below the reference line.
Connect the arcs: Use a ruler or straightedge to draw a straight line that connects the points where the arcs intersect the reference line.
Repeat the process: Using the same compass width, repeat steps 2-5 starting from another point on the reference line. This will create a second line that is parallel to the reference line.
Verify parallel lines: Check if the newly constructed line is equidistant from the reference line at all points. If the distances remain constant, the lines are parallel.
