So I came to watch Kevin parker interviews coz I want to know how this genius works. And I found that foreign interviews are always the most insightful with any celeb being interviewed. They always ask interesting questions where as in American media it's more joking around.

I'd say an american interviewer is a foreign interviewer, considering the fact that Tame Impala is from Australia. America isn't the center of the universe bro
@mm-lh1nt8 жыл бұрын
Martin Ulstein I'm an Australian and Australian media mimicks American. By foreign I mean foreign to the U.S/Australia/U.K/Canada (basically the leading west where the culture is more or less the same as American- in comparison to places like Sweden and France). I thought that was obvious. I used America because America shapes much of the media landscape and politics that affect countries like ours

If you watch Jorja Smith interviews when she's in the UK, her and the interviewer always seem to be having a good time, but then I saw one interview in the US and they were being very disrespectful and making comments on her body right in front of her

I agree that the interview was notably good, mainly due to his genuine interest and good nature. Kevin is hard to interview, but he's not trying to be... it's just his way. I adore him.

I felt this interview in a way. Explained why he made Currents. I know alot of fans don´t like this album.. Because it isn´t so much "Rock based" as Lonerism. While I still think Lonerism was stronger album over all IMO. I still enjoyed this album quite alot. And where he says "All you need to know is how many layers there is to music. It´s an amazing statement on it´s own. Because it proves that he dosen´t limit himself, to only making one kind of music. And I do think, that is what he is striving for. I think it would stifle him as an producer and musician. If he couldn´t do that. And he would get bored quite quickly. And lose this curiosity that he finds, in discovering new ways of making music. And making new things. Just not the same type of genre. For one thing it gives him more credibility. He is obviously not about taking "easy ways". He wants to discover. I heard the interviewer who made this interview, found him very interesting. And you can tell :) Glad I could share!

Good interview. I want kevin to go back and explore the earlier days of pre-innerspeaker. Songs like Feelings in the core, and wander and shit. I'd like to hear some modern variations of those sounds

I wouldn't say nervous. He's an empath and therefore relaxed and glowy when someone seems genuinely in for deeper conversation 🧙♂️✍

So obvious he’s a Dungen fan, glad he threw that out in the first 30 seconds of the interview. Innerspeaker in particular is laced through out with Dungen influence.

Lmao, this interviewer guessed the album might have some african beats. Even the new album cover seems inspired by sand houses in Namibia.
