sometimes i envy his life ...but really ... i think it would be really hard. the extreme pressure of doing almost everything yourself... the incredibly high standard people hold you to, having complete control in the studio would be crippling in ways, and the isolation of working on everything by yourself and being the only one with the vision of the work. props to him for holding it all together. i'm a hardcore fan since innerspeaker.
@edgeofugly5 жыл бұрын
Fame has its price. I mean he put psychedelic rock back into mainstream again, fans over the world adore Kevin, all the top artists badly want to him produce their music and such. But all these success, he just can't proudly show it to his father, who has died before Tame Impala rise to fame. That's why we can hear Kevin's grief in a couple of songs. I guess we cant have it all
@Queeentrasputo5 жыл бұрын
lmao you just focusing the hard part, he's a fucking star, went around the world and totally made it with HIS music that is made only by him with masterpieces in all his albums.. that meaning all the fans love just you, not even a band. what a genius

For Your Consideration fantastic comment, IMO
@myfriendgoo28165 жыл бұрын
I don't know if it's Kevin's idea or not, but there's a good bit of pressure on this album to succeed commercially. After touring quite a bit to festivals and mostly 4,000-seaters or so in the U.S. in 2019 (as a headliner), they're trying to make the jump to 15,000-seaters this year. That's a hard jump to make. Sure, they can sell out MSG in New York City, but Atlanta? Kansas City? Tulsa? They're essentially betting on "The Slow Rush" being a commercial hit (or the record company is, at least). I remember when R.E.M. made a similar jump, with "Monster" around 1995. But "The Slow Rush" is stylistically a departure, complicating things further. I hope it works out, though a part of me hopes they throttle back to smaller venues (like the summer sheds).

Ru it’s a very good song. Kevin was wanting to be more sure of hisself and have a swagger which fits “yes I’m changing” since it’s about confidence and accepting change. Why won’t they talk to me is about being sad and lonely and not sure of yourself

Specifically how comfortable she lets Kevin feel about opening up about his craft. Artists get put off on interviews by interviewers looking at their question while the talent is talking, or showing no facial expressions which in return gives off a “I don’t care” vibe. She’s class, not too pushy and also doesn’t let the interview get stale and boring.

Yeah, Kev. You do have the ability make music that's emotional. Posthumous makes me bawl. You're incredible. One More Year.

Can somebody please tell Kevin to please release the original borderline. As much as we can compliment the current one, the original really gave me the feeling of my own borderline

Hearing kp’s actual voice and comparing it to his singing voice blows my flipping minds. Makes me appreciate how talented this guy is

Yo. I understand his thought process. When you are working on a lengthy project, you will most likely lose some sort of perspective. And when you realize you got off track, you pull yourself together and you tend to realize how awesome, original and passionate you are about your songs. Then the next recording sounds super nice.
