Kevin once said that at a wedding he was at when someone put a song of his, the dance floor emptied and at first he thought it was funny, but he said it was also an awakening for him and made him realise “there was a hole in the music that needed filling.” Kevin congrats you made it this one is your filling peak

I immediately wondered why this wasn't a single, but then heard somewhere that it was written at the last minute. One of my favorite things about TI is the compositional structure - building variations /changes in direction. This one goes from swaggering to melancholy and plaintive at the end - It's a cool contrast that reminds me how in life self confidence can vaporize suddenly.

I usually listen to most of Tame Impala's/Kevin Parker's songs, but I found this song from the TV series "The Summer I Turned Pretty" at the beach volleyball scene, and I thought the person's singing sounded so familiar. And when I listened to it more and realized it was Kevin Parker and was so excited so I searched up the song and was and am still glad I found it bc it is such a good song!!

Mr Parker, I decided to write this one this track, because it is my favorite track of yours. It’s punchy, it’s groovy, and the breakdown at the end of the track is masterfully artistic. The bongo and kicks on this track are beautiful together, and I absolutely love the soft inclusion of the smooth-as-hell sax on the end of the track. Compositionally, this song is crisp as hell, and it is even more ingenious that you finished it in such a short period of time. (I watched the Zayn Lowe interview.) Broadening our to the rest of the album, I truly believe that you have achieved mastery in your craft. Producing a new sound each album is an ambitious task, yet the more out of your comfort zone you are, the better your music sounds. I’m in love with The Slow Rush, and honestly with your entire discography. I have spread the word throughout my household and gotten everybody hooked. You have touched my life with your incredible music, inspiring my creativity, picking me up when I’m down, and turning me the fuck up with tracks like this. So, thank you Kevin, and keep doing your thing. PS, I’m coming to your concert this summer in Charlotte!! Can’t wait to see you there and hope I can meet you.🕺🏽❤️

Such a nostalgic throwback feel in a new and different way. Mashing up emotions of the 80s and 90s but with the musical style of the 70s. Too surreal.

Man, so glad I happened to catch this tune on the radio as I was flipping through radio stations, early in the morning, while returning from a road trip. It's one of the things that helps time pass for me and the beat and pace fit right in with the patchy fog sunrise and smooth traffic flow. The Slow Rush indeed...I can't stop listening to it now that I've found it.
