So incredibly happy to see Tame is getting the recognition he deserves and sharing his story through his beautiful art. Only met him twice, once when he knocked on our door (in Ponsonby) looking for his sons girlfriends house, next door. And again later when he was incarcerated (it was for the Tuhoe raids). Not a tall man but he exudes mana and had a very peaceful aura actually. Was there the same time as Yakuza members…couldn’t help noticing the similarities. Small stature and many body tattoo. Was an impressive day for me. Please treasure and protect Tame. Record his stories well for future generations by which time Te Reo Maori has been normalised in Aotearoa. 🥰🥰

Much aroha to Tame Iti.. He's such a leader of change from the colonial masters. An inspiration to Maori for his courage and determination to put things right.

The hate that happened to Maori… I’m part Māori and I haven’t seen that I’ve seen hate towards pakeha and it needs to stop. Tama is a racist and that’s that.

Pakeha good with imagining negative thoughts regarding Maori when the murder of the Christchurch shootings 2018 was their color from across the ditch. But that's okay to them.
