I still don't understand why I'm so obsessed with this song, I can't go one day without listening to it since I discovered it, it's like an auditory drug that keeps me at bay. I have tried to dissect the lyrics and music but nothing matches my usual music taste nor current situation, it doesn't have that much relevancy to me personally. But I swear it's as if that song speaks to me on a spiritual level and whenever I listen to it I feel like my tired soul get a glimpse of recognition and salvation. I think the whole connection operates on a subconscious level or something. No other song can give me this special kind of melancholic comfort. It's terrifyingly beautiful.

I feel like this song might be interpreted as a song about NUCLEAR apocalypse. Seriously. There are some hints in lyrics like: "When the sun sets we're both the same : half in the shadows, half burned in flames" where sunset might mean nuclear winter and billions of people burned alive and turned to ashes, that look like shadows on the ground. "This darkness is the light" - well, nuclear blast is the light, that brings darkness. "We can't look back for nothin' Take what you need say your goodbyes. "I gave you everything . And it's a beautiful crime." - they're packing all the essentials to leave, character refers to his previous life, its gone now, with all that was good and wrong. "That I can barely breath the air is thin. I fear the fall and where we'll land. " - the flying vehicle takes them away, they don't know what to expect next. 2:47 - percussion that sounds like a distant nuclear bomb landing, and then music builds suspense before destructive nuclear shockwaves come at 3:17. 4:05 - finally, part to describe the emptiness left. Crazy right? XD

when i heard this with daredevil i wondered what is thing song and now when i hear it again all i can think is daredevil. this song has become synonymous with that show and the character. i love when songs awake that feeling in me. this is one great crime drama song because it fits with the character and the tone of this show.
