@TamerShaheen3 жыл бұрын
I think that’s true to some extent...but there are things u can do other than studying to help ur grades go up. First, befriend students who r a year older than u and ask them for a copy of their tests...that way u can use those tests as practice when ur studying. Usually teachers don’t change the test much between years. Second, in ur school...try to rearrange ur schedule so that u have “easier” teachers teaching u.

Hey bro, quick question. I did high school 4 years ago in another country and im applying right now. I did the prerequisites with a 96% avg but I’m concerned my grades back home are too bad (76%) avg. The grading system in my school was so hard and even the valedictorian got a avg of just 86% out of 98 students. Do you think it is worth it to explain it in the AIF? Or it’s meaningless for them. I also did 3 years mechanical eng in college with high Honors

I think it’s worth explaining it. You should also talk to the Waterloo admissions team since they would be able to answer ur questions better.

Actually I have a question... How does the university know that whether my extracurricular are right or wrong... Please reply me
@TamerShaheen3 жыл бұрын
There is no right or wrong. It’s helpful to have some extracurriculars that relate to the program ur applying to. But in general, most extracurriculars are good and will help you.

I just wanted to know will they take any tests on grade 12 subjects like you told calculus English and etc or they will just take in student by merit??
@TamerShaheen2 жыл бұрын
They don’t do additional tests…they just take ur grade 12 grades to determine if you get accepted!

Bro can you suggest me any Engineering university for mechanical that I can get into as a international student with 85% Grades.?
@TamerShaheen3 жыл бұрын
Hmm that’s tough 🤔 if ur referring to universities in Canada...some options are: York, Ryerson, uOttawa, Carleton? You should also apply to the “tougher” universities like Waterloo, UofT, Queens or McMaster cuz u never know 🤷♂️

That chart is outdated. This year's chart is significantly lower in terms of acceptance chance for higher avgs.

I couldn’t find the most outdated chart, so I didn’t include it in this video...but yea, it unfortunately gets harder every year 😭

From what I know, Waterloo doesn’t look at SAT and ur grades matter more. But, I think u should ask the Waterloo admissions team that question.

My only issue with applying is that I have a 75 in 4u physics because the teacher was a total dumbass. However, I currently have 100 in advanced functions, 95 in biology, and 97 in chemistry. Is my physics grade going to be a big weight or just a minor set back
@TamerShaheen3 жыл бұрын
Your other grades are good, so 4U physics might just be a minor setback. With the grades u told me, ur average is 91.75%. Ideally, u wanna bump that up to at least a 93% or 94% and u can do that by trying to get really high grades in ur other 2 courses. Also try to talk about why ur physics grade was lower than expected in ur AIF as that may help.
