Tamhini Ghat is anytime fav place. Best to head on a motorbike in the early wee morning hours and see the sunrise on reaching there. Been thrice there and each time we see and come to know a different part of the nature......truly an amazing and peaceful environment.

yes kundalika valley is accessible by road from tamhini side no trekking required just a short walk, the road cuts into the forest from main mulshi road and is offroad and will eventually meet lonavala, the point i am sitting is view point of kundalika valley, also known as independence point by people.

We visited tamini ghat just 3 days ago. I gotta say the place is just wow! Waterfalls, lake, scenery are just too good. But the catch there is the roads, its the worst type of roads i have ever seen in my life, just pathetic they are not well constructed alot if potholes whn i say alotbi literally mean it we had to drive at a avg speed of 30 km. 2 hrs of journey became 3hr 25 mins .

these are from cenozoic (66 million years ago) and were formed by volcanic activity when it broke off from the main land when every continent broke and got distributed.
