Omg, if you guys like straight up "sweet tea" with no lemon and homemade taste, you must try (Milo's)...It brags that it's only made with three ingredients: 1) water.....2) cane sugar.....and 3) tea. It's home tea in a bottle "with no preservatives", that's hard to beat! lol

I compared the two brands years ago. But I did it with the ones with sugar (since I don’t do diet/zero stuff). This was back in the 2009-2013 year range. For me, I preferred the Gold Peak brand. My mom feels the same way also, although she drinks the diet/zero/unsweetened teas. And with picking Gold Peak, I guess I really am Team Coke/Coca-Cola. When I saw that Coke owns Gold Peak and Pepsi owns Pure Leaf, my response was “well, that explains everything” since I do like Coke products more. Coke, Sprite, Mello Yello, Barq’s, and so on. And I didn’t know Coke owned Gold Peak until after I compared the two brands and was reading stuff on the labels. So I was fair on stuff when I compared the two.

I like Pure Leaf okay (it is a bit earthy to me - it's like I can taste the tea leaves or something), but it can't hold a candle to Gold Peak (I mean in the full sugar versions, that I used to drink when I was able to do so). I recently tried GP zero sugar and it seems sweeter - it was pretty good to me. Gosh I miss Sweet Tea especially! I don't like to have caffeine myself. It doesn't bother me, but I would prefer it without caffeine. It is weird the difference in taste in even just Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi/Coke and regular diet pepsi/coke! PL does tend to have a lemony taste - I feel the same, Tami. I don't mind "tea-ade" if I do the mixing but truthfully just prefer tea period!

My 2 favorite teas are Lemon and Peach. Lipton had a canister of Mango Iced Tea that you added water to in a pitcher, but since it was my absolute favorite, they discontinued it. I usually make my own tea, but over Winter, when the sun isn't as strong, I buy cases of Lipton Brisk with Lemon. I do drink the Pure Leaf Zero Sugar, and since I love Lemon. it was a nice surprise. When Kevin kept buying the Gold Peak Zero, I tried it. I found it pretty bland compared to the Pure Leaf. It's not bad and if a place only had Gold Peak, I would buy it, but I prefer Snapple, Pure Leaf and Arizona.

I drink Pure Leaf but I drink the unsweetened Pure Leaf and it does not have any lemon taste to it. The Gold Peak does not have enough flavor for me and since it has sodium in it I avoid it. I count my sodium intake like you count your calorie intake.

I buy Milo's Zero sugar or Red Diamond about $3.50 a gallon then refill into emptied water bottles for easy grab & go.

I agree with all the folks mentioning Milo’s or Red Diamond (sweetened with Splenda). I find the Gold Peak Zero bracingly sweet so I pour it over a lot of ice. For the ones that you don’t care for being slightly lemony you could always add more lemon to make an Arnold Palmer. I can’t stand a splash of lemon in my tea but for some reason once it’s more like half/half lemonade it’s okay. 😂

I like the Pure Leaf as it has a stronger tea taste and less sweet . Goldleaf is sickening sweet to be zero sugar. I can only imagine what Goldleaf’s extra sweet task like ( yuck 🤢 ) I do like Sun tea

Has Kevin tried the zero sugar Snapple? I love the lemon, raspberry and peach. The lemon isn’t offensive. They also make zero sugar kiwi strawberry drink and an apple one.

Thanks so much for a terrific review. I drink decaffeinated tea n coffee. Turkey Hill n Arizona has decaf that I drink. These sound refreshing though. Drink up! Lol😊

The problem I have is that Gold Peak has aspartame, while Pure Leaf uses Stevia, which is healthier to me. There’s just too much controversy that lingers regarding aspartame.

I like gold Peak Tea but I like the regular one it is too sweet I tried them before I I like something sweet but not that sweet I don't know about the pure leaf tea it tastes like sun tea what like what is sun tea I thought it tasted like something else or something I like it but it's okay to me you got a nice tea flavor like you put a little drop of lemon on the tea

Well I drink the pure leaf tea with sugar ....I love it!. I don't do any unsweetened anything. Yuck!. Lol... just my opinion. 😂

Pure Leaf makes me gag. I have not tried Gold Peak, but Snapple has been the only brand I've liked so far. Though to be fair, I haven't tried that many brands as I'm not an iced tea drinker... I'd rather have coffee or a fruit flavored drink.

I would skip both I only drink unsweetened tea. Sweet tea is poison me. Also I don't like the taste of bottled tea, granted it is better than it use to be. it still has an underlying taste

0 sugar, pure leaf believe sweetie is awful.It's way too sweet and it has a terrible taste.Made me sick to drink it. I like their unsweetened.I usually mix one unsweetened with one sweet tea.

I so agree w both of you -- I HATE Pure Leaf because it tastes so acidic. Gold Peak allows you to enjoy the tea, without any other flavor added.

Pure leaf taste like tea, gold peak smelled like cow manure and the taste was awful.
