Go to Thevur, short distance from Thiruvaarur, via Keelvaelur, in THEVUR is the ancient, DEVAPURESWARAR TEMPLE, which is the ancient temple build even before the Chola dynasty...a temple that is said to be the "sthalam" or special temple that KUBAERAN, deva for wealth prayed to Shiva. Also where the famous "Kal Vazhai" or Banana that grow on stones! that has been mentioned in the scriptures.Thevur Temple would mean that temple.It is also said to have been mentioned by Thirumoolar, in the sacred Tamil scriptures...Google the temple.It is a must see in this area
