Good video once you know the location of pheonix, you can just breath fire on the ground at it and Pheonix will tame, no need to wait for heatwave, can check taming on taming tracker.

wearing an Otter around your neck protects you from hot and cold

if you are more end game you can use tek bow too with flame arrows also can use the fire wyvern.
