Wild foal gets 'tamed', she was not imprinted, haltered or abused in any way.
This was during the year I observed Konik horses and did the father-sun relationship.
I know I should not have done that, but it just happened. And we both had a good moment.
Her next project was the camera, I am glad I could save that one.

Wonderful Nicole, just wonderful. I've found that mares go through stages with their foals... Firstly they are very protective, then secondly they seem almost proud that you are taking an interest in their child. Then the foal gets put in the care of its yearling brothers and sisters, before finally anyone is allowed to care for it, even us humans, so mum can have some mare time. In my time with feral horses I've been deemed trustworthy enough on more than a few instances to be given 'custody' of a foal while mum wanders off... I always take it as a great honour to be regarded as a suitable temporary foster father.

I think some horses are just born curious, like some kids. "Hey, that's weird, it's not a horse. What is it? Can I eat it? Can I scratch against it? Oooooh, it scratches back, hey, you smell interesting. What's that thing? Where are you going? What are you doing? Can you scratch me again?"

It looks like they have accepted you as a herd member, how long are you observing these horses by now? It's amazing to see how the mother of the foal accepts this interaction between you and the foal.

Imho they see me like a human that they do not have to fear. The mothers are not defensive, what they do when the foals are very small is that they call them or guide the foals way. Also noticed that the male foals are more 'shy', they are less curious compared to this filly.

When I worked with 'wild horses' in the past to train them for riding, or as said in English breaking, I was always very happy that these horses have no bad or good experiences with humans. Wild horses are far more easy to train them many domesticated horses. Glad you noticed the gentleness.

Hello my friend another great and very informative video , what a wonderful experience to have a wild foal inquisitive and trusting enough to approach a human without fear . Watching you gently handling the foal without so much of a flinch from her was mind blowing and even the mare didn't react to protect her and just stood near by eating calmly whilst keeping an eye on you was truly a gift of nature. I hope all is well with you and your family and of course your hoof children take care and all the best. Kylie from Australia ☺

Enjoyed your interaction with the cutie. I Google Konik horses and see they may have come from Tarpins. I also saw that some governments are letting Konik herds help make the lands habitable for other animals. One of the descriptors was intelligent. Glad to see some reserves are used for these.

I don't know much about horses, but the way you interact with them is a thing of beauty! I have gone trail riding three times in my life. I would hope this is not a bad thing. I was wondering your thoughts on that. The horses seemed quite savvy and wanted to take good care of the riders. I left feeling great. I could see how horses could also be used as therapy animals. I wouldn't want to support something that perhaps is not good for them. Your knowledge and insight is very much appreciated. Thanks.

He has Parkinson's with Lewy Body on top of just the Parkinson's. He started to make videos about African Violets and then went into Orchid so his grandchildren would have something when he was no longer able to function. He hasn't made a video for a year but he warned us it was happening he didn't just show off his plants he told us why a plant was doing poorly or doing well and the things I learned from him didn't just help me with my orchids it help me with all of my plants.
