No worries. These storms arent large enough for any real problems. Enjoy your holiday, you might even see some aurora (likely red colored if you are at mid to lower latitudes.) But no need to worry. Its just the Earth blowing off steam. Dont believe all the hype on You Tube about it. Those people are just fearmongers.

It would be really helpful to know what states would be most likely to see Aurora. Saying High and Mid latitudes really doesn't help when there's no specifications.

Thats because we cannot know exactly where until the storm hits. Our accuracy is about the same as terrestrial weather was back in the 1960s! That is why it is important to check our real-time reporting community on X!

ive been using a solorsystem model and looking at the big flares. the alignment of the planets with magnets fields and the solar barycenter seem to be playing a role in flare timing. the carrington event had an interesting alignment of planets. there is an interesting alignment of planets on the spring equinox.

I haven’t heard anything about ion storms in the past 20 years. Do they still happen? I listened to shortwave a lot in the 60s and the BBC used to warn about them interfering with their broadcasts.

Yes. "Radiation storms" are what were once called "ion storms." Of course, some people considered any storm the Sun sent us was an "ion storm." We have learned a lot since then!

Actually, aurora was visible as far south as Kansas and the Mojave Desert, but the real show came later so Australia, Tasmania, and New Zealand got the best show.

Wow, this was ULTRA helpful. This entire morning has been pretty rough for me as I’ve felt like I’ve been inside a pressure cooker, or even like an alka-seltzer tablet in water… 😆 Anywho. After watching your forecasts, I aligned them with the times I felt things within me shift.. Well, boom. They align perfectly. Although it doesn’t help the ascension symptoms at all, the peace of mind in knowing what I’m dealing with has massive calming effects. For anyone else experiencing “ascension symptoms”, here’s my personal recommendations, and I am 100% open to any and all suggestions! By far the most impactful/helpful practice was going outside and grounding. Basically, just doing my “cosmic frequency anchoring” practice as much as possible. It’s tough right now due to it being Winter here and access to some dry Earth is tougher, but it’s definitely worth whatever “trouble” it takes you to clear out a space to ground. I tried all of my different meditations, groundings and practices to pretty much no effect. I also recommend ‘spinning’ 33 times clockwise, while holding your focus on your thumb (in gassho prayer hand position) at least once every single day. The details of this can be found in the book “Bringers of the Dawn”, or you can just ask me for more deets if desired… But, this basically activates ALL chakras simultaneously, and honestly makes you feel more superhuman than anything else I’ve ever tried! I can’t recommend this one enough, it just doesn’t yield the relief provided by the grounding. So, spin first. Keep your balance by focusing hard on your thumb (hands in prayer position), then go outside and ground/anchor. Hopefully I find some more good idears here in the comments, I’m all ears! Light & Love to all 🌀🌀

I remember the previous Happy New Year in 2024, when the sun also had a gigantic flare! Now again :) The X5.0 solar flare that occurred on December 31, 2023, at 21:55 UTC, This was a significant and powerful flare that happened just as the world was transitioning into the New Year of 2024. It was one of the strongest flares of Solar Cycle 25 and caused widespread attention due to its timing and intensity.
