Tamiya 1/12 Honda Monkey 125
Tamiya is going to sell the DAX, so I made a Monkey in preparation for it.
It's a 4-speed version of the current Monkey, one generation before the current one.
The new generation Monkey has a larger displacement and frame while retaining the atmosphere of the Monkey, transforming it into a luxurious super-motorcycle.
For some reason, the Monkey doesn't have a center stand.
Making
Tamiya's models are great.
You can build it as is and it's of real monkey quality.
And it's easy to build.
The only drawback is that the seat is made of rubber.
Add Details
Even though some parts are omitted, Tamiya still provides places where you can add details.
Rear and front disc brakes

Engine
*Added cables to two sensors
*Changed the shape of the clutch
*Added wires to the generator, etc.
Painting
Frame
*Silver - clear red
Fuel Tank
*Finisher's chrome silver - clear red
Finisher's chrome silver has coarse silver particles, so it is suitable for underpainting the glitter tank.
Exhaust
It was specified to be black, but I sprayed red and blue clear paint on the gunmetal to give it a slightly burnt look.
Seat
It's made of soft vinyl, or rubber with the same texture as tires.
The white lines need to be painted, but it cannot be painted.
I didn't have any white on hand, so I stuck a duralumin finish on it, but it peels off easily.
Also, dust easily accumulates and is difficult to remove.
There is nothing difficult about the assembly, so the motorcycle itself was completed in about three days (the fastest).
Figurine
There is a sumo drama being streamed on NETFLIX, which is very interesting, and you can currently watch up to episode 8 of season 1.
I watched the whole thing in one go, and after spending almost half a day staring at the wrestlers' bodies on the screen, I thought that their bodies, which look like they have fat on top of well-trained muscles, were very beautiful.
So I put an older man with a sumo wrestler-like body on it.
His face is big to match his body, so it sticks out of the helmet, and I wanted to give him a slightly bad-boy vibe, so he's riding while smoking a cigarette.
The most difficult part of creating a figure to ride on a motorcycle is making it fit the motorcycle.

I'm always touch by your glittering works with handled delicately,I watched alot at a pla model magazine in 1990's which published from Japan back then that get it from used book store,there's put together with instruction of arcade games anyway I was inspired to those thing even if I can't decode Japanese🏍🚁

The precision work of Korean model makers, especially the figures, is amazing, but it's a shame that they're expensive and not easily available in Japan.
