Absolutely brilliant work Shane. At first I thought that the mud was too “wet”. But then seeing the original photo I realised it was exactly that wet. It adds to the “misery” of the scene for the driver. The work on the Panther is superb. Another thumbs up 👍🏻 from Australia 🇦🇺. Well done my Irish friend!

Fantastic video to end this series on Panther 126! Love the diorama. Love the Panther. So realistic. The Battle of the Bulge is of big interest for me so I was riveted to this series of videos. Well done, absolutely brilliant! ✔️ Now, how about Panther 221 of Kampfgruppe Peiper, now there's a thought!!! 😊
@longlance672 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! I am super happy you enjoyed it, as it was one of the most intense projects I have attempted as a modeler if I am honest. I have another Battle of the Bulge dio project already in the works. Let us say its the 4AD's turn next! But I just googled Panther 221. And have to say I really like the scene of all the GI's clambering all over it. But I really want to try do an Ardennes Panther with ambush camo next I think.
@davidarmstrong75492 жыл бұрын
@@longlance67 looking forward to your next Battle of the Bulge diorama featuring the 4AD which will be super interesting! Can't wait to see that! As for a Panther featuring the ambush scheme, that sounds fabulous. I'm building a Kampfgruppe Peiper Panther, Panther 101, at the moment with ambush scheme but my skills, while ok, are nowhere near as good as yours!

@@davidarmstrong7549 I am thinking of depicting a scene with Cobra King and a M3 halftrack preparing to make their run for Bastogne. So that's the basic idea, I always want to do one of the King Tigers at some point too. Oh nice! No doubt it will look great mate!

Excellent work, you take your time until you publish it. I want to apply pin wash with oil because with acrylics on oil it is difficult for it to spread well through the grooves, rivets, etc. What color do you recommend in oil on green paint base. Thank you very much.
@longlance672 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I would always recommend using oils over acrylics for dot filters. As for oil colors for green. You really can use any contrasting color you want really. I would recommend checking out 502 Modelling Oils. Which has great range of colors to choose from. Though for green base colors I like to use warm colors like ocher as a base.
