Excellent build. I have fired the 25 pounder numerous times as I was part of the 105 Regt. Royal Artillery 21 gun saluting team at Edinburgh Castle. I am planning to build a diorama of our saluting team performing the salute at the castle. Some useful tips here thank you.

Dear Sammy, my father (now deceased) trained on the 25 pounder for the british army in the korean war. He was conscripted but damaged his hand moving the gun by query catching the web between thumb and forefinger and splitting a 2 inch long gash, I presume it was done when moving the field gun and was between the tow ring and a i beam of the army storage shed. Is this possible or would it have been done by something else, I was told as a young kid but unfortunately I didn't record the details at the time. The moral of the tale is to listen to the war stories and take notes no matter how old you are or however many times you have heard them as more detail can be gleaned by listening to them. Yours Stuart
