The WP1080 is an excellent ESC. It also works great for high-speed vehicles. I use it in all of my electric touring cars, electric rally cars, electric buggies, and electric short course trucks.

Hi Matteo, the nuts do not always keep in position when slipped into the slots in the chassis. For example when I screw on the front bumper, the nut keeps slipping and I cannot tighten the screw. How do you handle this?

I had not this problem. Do you overtighten the screws? These can not tighten so much as a normal screw.

I'm currently building my CC-02 G 500. I've also chosen the slower transmission, the same ESC and a 5-slot brushed motor, which works really nicely in my CR-01. But while almost everything seems straight forward, I'm having some issues with my servo. It's a standard sized "HV" servo from JX, which should also work with the higher BEC voltage setting of the Hobbywing ESC. It seems, that the servo can be "officially" mounted upright or in horizontal position, but there is no explanation why that is or what is recommended. Later, I found, that the servo cable collides with the rest of the frame, when I mount it in the horizontal position, even though it's a standard form factor servo, which seems odd. I was just wondering, if you had similar issues? Maybe that issue is the reason, Tamiya also allows the upright mounting position... I then put it upright, facing down, which works, but the steering rod needs to be significantly longer. I'm thinking of putting an extension between servo arm and the ball connector. imgur.com/a/fH9C4IX

No, I had not this problem with my servo. But I think also due the different dimensions and cable positions of the servo, Tamiya offers these two mounting possibilities.

@@Matteomeier I've mounted the servo upright and put 2 mm 3D printed spacers between servo and holder, so the servo reaches a bit lower. I also replaced the steering rod with a slightly longer piece of threaded rod for more stability. There is a little bit of bump steer, but I think that is normal for this frame, since the servo is mounted on the chassis and not on the axle/diff-housing like on the CR-01. Later I found, that there are already two 2 mm spacers included (part trees C, part #1), which are marked as not used in the manual. Makes me think that they maybe initially planed on putting them in there... Anyhow... it works now. :-)

Thanks for your compliments, glad you like it! The softer tire compound is not much different than the harder. But when you can order the softer ones, I would do this.

Hi Matteo, great job! Thanks for uploading, I like this BGM very much! According to the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/eabPYo2kYt2ShbM, which was produced by the TAMIYA's RC driver Mr. Satoshi Maezumi, the reason for not gluing the tires to the rims is to give some "slippery effect" such that no burden on gears when driving through gaps.

How did you fit the Tamiya servo saver to the Hitec servo? Most Hitec servos use 24 spline shafts, and Tamiya doesn’t usually include an adapter to fit them. Is this particle servo different?

Its the futaba part who fits on it... I had no problem with this. Seems as this servo have the same spline shaft as futaba has.

My friend once tried 3S Lipo on his silver can TT02, that silver can didn't last long after some full throttle bashing. But it might be OK on a trail truck with much bigger gear reduction and much less full throttle running.

Matteo's RC Movies Danke viel Mals für die Antwort. Ich habe noch eine Frage: Ich habe mir den Mercedes G500 auch gekauft und ihn aufgebaut. Die Reifen habe ich auch durch bessere und weichere Reifen ersetzt die fast gleich sind wie deine. Jedoch reiben sich die beiden Vorderreifen an der Innenseite an die Lenkung und die Reifen nutzen sich schnell ab. Ich wollte fragen ob du auch das Problem hast und ob du ein Tipp hast. Danke, bin ein Fan von deinem Kanal 👍

Nein das Problem hab ich nicht. Hängt natürlich von der Reifen Grösse und Breite ab. Meine Reifen haben in etwa dieselbe Grösse wie die originalen. Vielleicht könntest du beim anschrauben des Rades eine oder zwei Unterlagscheiben dazwischen geben das das Rad etwas mehr Abstand zum Chassis gewinnt.
