The T3-01 is a fun, different chassis to build. Driving it around is a riot if kept in persective. It has a 370 motor so it's not fast. Putting it out in a large open area, it will get lost and dull really quick. In a small, tight area this thing shines. If the surface is smooth and a little slippery the spins and drifting will bring smiles and laughs as it flops side to side turning and scooting about. I run mine on 2S 2280 with a Tamiya TRE-01. Lots of weight down low with the combined ESC/Rx up top makes it very stable. A pack of these running in an area too small for regular 1/10 on-road cars would be an absolute blast.

Nothing but love for PS-17. I painted a Mazda3 body in that color and it’s widely loved for it. Never knew it was THE Top Force green but yeah, it’s REALLY nice! Back it with PS-23 (gunmetal) and you get a much more dynamic color that just pops because the 23 has a bit of blue in it! Anyway, I really wanted to see what these looked like and I have to say that I’m quite impressed in the detail. Funny thing about them is how some parts are designed for the M-chassis but work with these. The battery pin though is interchangeable with the DT-03. I have heard in Japan these are mega popular as a drift chassis and I’d be interested to see how it’d get on.

Hi Glenn - if you do use the 4aa battery pack - you’ll need an esc that can run on as low as 4.8v, such as the Modelsport UK Trident XT-20. That’s what I’ve got in my Dual Rider and Lunchbox Mini and it runs perfectly on AA rechargeables. Also - a nippy alternative to the 370 sport tuned motor is the LaTrax 370 28t. The Dual Rider is great fun - especially if you can find a nice smooth floor indoors< coz you can then do power slides 😀

Well, if you sort out the battery situation for the trike, you could get yourself a SW-01 mini lunchbox as well, runs on the same batteries. I ordered a couple of LiFe batteries from china for my SW-01, works nicely. The tamiya Li-Fe battery cost more than the SW-01, so I couldnt be bothered with that. Not a bad looking piece of kit that trike, totally out of my intrest range, but luckily we're allowed to have different intrests. :D

Just out of interest, is the pivot somekind of double hinge affair or a ball-joint type thing? That first version, the silver one, really dosen't work looks wise for me either.
