It would have qualified as “master class” even before you applied the decals (IMHO). Astonishing work to aspire to!

Thank you for this journey on the build. The music was perfect and I found myself very relaxed. AMAZING detail work. wish you would have left canopy in "up" position. just beautiful.

I think the only word that I can think of is WOW! That was just fantastic. I am so amazed that a modeller will spend hours to get the perfect factory finish of a paint job on a model and then spend just as many hours trying to make it look old and used. You are a very brave man to do this, but just look at your reward, a superb looking model F16 in a lovely paint scheme and so realistic looking too, well done sir! I am looking forward to the ME262 already, best of luck with that and have fun, Joe

Joe's Model Kits Thank you Joe! You're right, it is a bit if a squeaky bum moment when you first apply the wash! just have to trust that the steps before hand have been thorough enough to hold up! ME262 is well underway, expect to see that uploaded in the next couple of weeks! ☺

awesome finish there end results look amazing I have kit bud i favoured the black gray and white variant,question how long for did you leave the wash on before removing the excess ☺
@TheInnerNerd8 жыл бұрын
Phazzer- 758 Thank you. I leave it until it is touch-dry with no 'pools' of damper areas where the wash is thicker. This way the wash can be easily removed without spreading, but have enough adhesion to remain in the panel lines

Great build. I am curious about how long you wait before removing the Tamiya panel liner. Mine never comes off that easy. I always end up scrubbing with mineral spirits.
@Planehazza6 жыл бұрын
How long do you leave the oil wash to dry before you rub off the excess? How long after that again to do you leave before going on to further weathering, or applying another gloss or matt coat? Thanks!

Harry Marshall I am also curious about the dry time. My washes never come off that smoothly.

Another superb build. The F-16 is a favourite of mine, I have more in the stash than I care to admit. Including this kit, but I'll be going black and white.

This was a nice kit to build. Its been a while now but I cant think of any issues at all. I wish I'd have gone with the black & white scheme too but at the time fancied more earthy colours. Guess I'll have to make another!

@@TheInnerNerd What a shame lol... I look forward to seeing your next Viper then ;) Kintetic make some interesting examples also, including the beautiful F-16I (Sufa) Although their kits aren't as refined as Tamiya's.

Another great video! Awesome !!!! ...did you use xf-1 for the post shading ? (10 % paint + 90% thinner ? ) In the end, did you cover the whole model with flat varnish ?(including the exhaust ?) .... thank you for a great reference !! All the best,.. Fernando

Hey! Really nice build man! I'm planning to start uploading some videos of my own soon. As I am sure you are aware the trick is recording everything and editing it to flow coherently, so I was wondering do you find your multi part videos are more or less well received than a condensed 15-20 minute full video build? It would be a shame to capture hours and hours of footage for a multi part series that no one would then watch you know? All the same, nice video and build!
@TheInnerNerd8 жыл бұрын
MrScottishBloke Thank you. I'm not entirely sure which are preferred, multi-parts are harder to make due to the amount of footage but are clearer than a condensed video which takes less time. It's swings and roundabouts really

hi, It's pretty glossy after the decals. do you do another clear coat (flat perhaps) after the wash on the panels? or does the wash bring down the gloss a bit.
@TheInnerNerd8 жыл бұрын
Manuel Barsallo Yes you should seal the decals in once they are properly cured before the wash stage or the wash will get underneath he decal and potentially ruin them. The wash does dull the gloss sealant coats but only to a semi-gloss. Once all of the washing/weathering stages are complete I put a layer of matte on for the final surface finish and then the model is complete

Nice job bud on the 16 love your videos man just wanted to ask when you done the post shading on this one what pressure, paint mix and nozzel were you using? thanks joe
@TheInnerNerd8 жыл бұрын
Mr Dunn Thank you! I used 22psi (normal pressure for spraying). Paint mix is around 80:20 thinner to paint so i sprays smoothly and more transparent. Nozzle is the standard on the brush a .35mm, I take the diffuser off the end though so the needle end is showing to get smoother spray pattern

This one is a good kit and fits together well. There are a lot of parts however so may be a big undertaking if you're new to the hobby. Don;t let that stop you though, if you want to build it go ahead! If it doesn't come out how you wanted it to, you can always make another in the future :)

Well the end result of the model is very good, the builder does have a few bad habits. Tamiya thin going on painted or clear parts is a big no no, and is bad advice for new builders. It fogs up clear parts, and attacks and peels paint. If I'm being picky there are a a lot of pin marks in visible parts that haven't been filled, which you would expect to be done on a model of this scale and detail
Yes I learned that now kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmOVnouVgN-eaaM

Before to share a tutorial video, it is better to improove your personal skills, avoiding paint bubbles all around the model, taking more care of assembly and and painting,. In my opinion you've a lot of work to do before some one can call you a modeller, and I'm very sad to see such approximate job. I gave you a big thumb down my friend.
