I love the paint and that sound unit is pretty cool! The wiring is the most tedious part of the truck build but it all works out in the end and it looks fantastic!!! I knew you were gonna do something cool with the paint and it came out great! My wife got annoyed at me following her around the house honking the horn at her when I first built mine! I have to drive it in the garage only now... it was worth it!

Thanks glad you like it. The horn is neat for sure! I like turning on and off the blue lighting pointed at the skeleton in the cab it looks really neat!! The wiring is like spaghetti LOL!! You got through this build QUICKLY!! 😲 Not saying that like it's bad... I have always preferred the Build itself, and often drag them out. 😉 NO shortage of BEAUTY though!!! 😎👍👍👌 That Paint is exceptional. Love the Flake effect. Very 1970's!! 😁 That's something I haven't tried before. My Wife and I love Purple. You really NAILED the Paint Job! And the ESS-ONE... with the Diesel Sound downloaded, it's quite impressive! I have a few of those "Tamiya" Light Controllers. Obviously fake - but at least they work. ... if you want to make a Shelf, from any scrap Plastic, you could move the Sound Unit into the Sleeper. IF you want to do an interior. 😉 Looks GREAT Steve!!

Thanks it took me 4 days but I had to wait for parts and stuff to get here.. lucky I finished it when I did it got so cold here that the garage even with the house heaters and stuff in it is now 56 degrees now and cold to sit in work in.. was like 63 when I did it and still was kind of cold but doable. the ess-one sounds pretty good on the cheap! Hi Steve, she looks beautiful, and in my favourite colour…Purple…gorgeous. The skeletons are a niiiiiiiiiiice touch, and the driver is really clear to see, except for the skeleton’s, I’ve done the same on my Tamiya Globe Liner, even to painting her and her trailer purple lol 😂. I’ve bought another set of original decals and I think she’s going back to box art, not tooooo sure……but maybe 🤔 lol 😝

You have really done a great job on this beast. Not wrong when you say it's a lot of work. Just finishing a knight hauler for the wife. I did it gloss black and it looks beautiful. These trucks are like building a real one. They are an amazing kit but you're right mate, best to have some experience. Now I want a king hauler, they look like a GMC semi or the grand hauler. I have to build a Scania for the wife as well. These are hard to find in Australia at the moment. I want them all. Great video mate and nice work.

Yes it was! It was like 60 degrees in the garage and I had to use the hair dryer and then put it in the incubator at 84 deg over night. It came out real nice though, have to take it out for a test drive but the weather is not good! Thanks very much as always.

You should put various motors in the truck. I never see videos of people seeing how much the trucks can pull. I haven’t even seen people try different motors than pretty much stock. Slap something in there that is powerful!

Hi Steve, an awesome build of the Grand Hauler, giving it that ‘Ghost Rider’ appeal. Paint work is looking good, that black / purple flake, certainly gives it that menacing look. Question if I may, I’ve noticed that you’ve install the MFC-01 and a separate light control unit? I thought the MFC-01 already had light controlling function? Why didn’t you use the MFC-01 unit for the combined functions? How did you map the MFC-01 to the wheel style controller? I thought you had to use a stick controller to successfully map the MFC functions? Or did you find a way to remap ? I’m interested, as I was hoping to use my 6ch wheel controller, but couldn’t map my MFC-03 unit to a wheel unit. I’ve also been view Bob at Hobby Concepts, videos, he doesn’t appear to use wheel controllers, opting for the stick controller for mapping the MFC. The only difference between MFC-01 and MFC-03 is the sounds of the horn and motor. Have you been a wizard, do tell? As always, all the best, keep well and take care. 😊😉😊

Hi Thank you, I used a ess-one sound unit and a separate light kit but with a 6ch pistol grip radio you can use it with the tamiya control units, search youtube for this channel I know let him know shen rc sent ya... he has a lot of tamiya trucks and runs them with the pistol grip radios I am sure if you ask about it he will help you out.
