My journey to Tamiya Head Office in Shizuoka, Japan. After a flight about 13 hours we arrived in Tokyo. Then we took the Shinkansen (High Speed Train) to Shizuoka. After this we saw different places in Tokyo, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ginza, Sky Tree, Tokyo Beach, Asakusa and Ikebukuro. Very awesome City and Country, and friendly people!

I just never imagined it to be this awesome. For some reason, as a kid I didn't even dream about one day visiting the place. You did all of us a huge favour by placing this awesome image in our heads, and a massive dose of nostalgia kicked in. So much so, that I've just ordered my first RC Car as a kid... The Grasshopper! Being from 77, seeing Tamiya still active warms my heart, and even more so knowing there are so many out there who share this nostalgia today. :)

Just to say I made it there mate, it was like re living your video! Train stations are just immaculate and the taxi driver, all I had to say was Tamiya and he was off!Just brilliant to visit, see the full size sand scorcher and all the static model kits, and to say I had been there.Went a bit mad in the shop too but well worth it. Also visited the Tamiya shop in Shimbashi as well, made a few more purchases, I could have stayed in there all day, just brilliant! Thanks again for the video it helped me out so much mate.Kev

I just can't believe the level of craftsmanship that goes into the product - and this is prior to 3D printers...

Check out that mint looking RC Blackfoot, I still have mine with the Acoms radio although it doesn't look anywhere as nice as that, just need a new battery. Could spend all day in there for sure. Loved the full size Sand Scorcher. Great vid.
