I had a grasshopper but by neighbour had a hornet. It got so competitive 😂. Ended up with a Team Losinand Schumacher top cat and boss cat. I wonder if they still make cars like that.

I was in competition with my neighbour also, always upgrading and racing each other, good fun.....yes you see plenty of Losi and Schumacher on the race track these days 😁👍

I always wanted one (and a Wild One) but couldn't afford it back then. I think the car was 180 Gulden back then for the bare car. Instead I bought a Bear Hawk which was discounted, the Bear Hawk has however no steerring on power. How is the steering on this car? Into RC plane flying and 3D printing now so no cars anymore.

I never got to experience a Bear Hawk but the Hornets steering is pretty good for the type of car it is, I'm running a TSU05 servo so nothing high end as you will not get precision steering out of this like a race car, but for having fun on the grass , sand , dirt and road, steering this car where you want it to go is no problem 🙂✌

Hello from France. Thank you for the video. Races with Grasshopper and Hornet only were the most enjoyable competitions I've done. Modern RC are too fast. Still using my 35yo Grasshopper...even after it falled of a cliff to finish in a river a few years ago...😂

I ran my vintage hornet on sunday. Same motor same battery. But manual speed controller. You nailed the video mate. Goes good for the money. Smiles all around. I flipped mine on its lid and scratched the roof but hey thats how it rolls

Thanks so much mate, I wish I still had my vintage, kept the old manual speed controller though, I luv running these cars even if they get scatched, just means will be looking forward for the next respray 👍

Very cool buggy! That's why I do videos as well, to show the fun of the hobby.. although it can be frustrating at times. The payoff is always worth it when everything comes together though!
