It would be interesting to see the cut itself. Most nippers “crush” a little before they actually start cutting. The crushed plastic looks white or even stressed and stretched.

i was able to reduce the angle on a cutter by sharpening so it slices

Thank for such kind words. I use a glue bottle I got at the craft store. It's a squeeze bottle with a fine steel tube to dispense the glue. Plus the cap has a fine needle that stays in the tube while the cap is on keeping it clog free. It's highly recommended. I think was at Hobby Lobby but most craft shops have it. When I filled it up with the glue I took the label off the glue bottle and taped it to the new bottle

I been user a Testor's and a Tamiya for pretty much all my life and Tamiyas seem the best overall to me, not as fragile as God hands, and not as expensive either. Godhands can be a little finicky for cutting harder plastic like clear brittle stuff (Not the soft one used for effect parts). The testors are my heavy duty, built a whole PG Unicorn with them for the first runner cut, and so far they live lol.

i really want to use micro mark nippers but a) they're on backorder b) they're only available on micro mark so actual price is $32.45 +tax (with 10% coupon) which puts them in a higher bracket. still really want a set!

Have you tried the godhands or the dspiae nippers?

Yes, I used Godhands, I found their performance about the same as my Micro Marks. Throw in the cost and it's a no brainer. I have not tried the dspiae nippers yet. Always check Micro Mark's website on a weekly basis, they always have sales.
