I had a 1:10 RC 30+ years ago. Now that my son is reaching the appropriate age I am getting back into it in the hope of pulling him away from his ipad. Fantastic guide, it has been very helpful in deciding which kit to get.

Hi, Rob! Congratulations for this video, made with a masterful hand! This first part is going smoothly but surely. I am happy to be able to follow its evolution. I hope you're okay. Take care.

Many thanks Alex. Yes this kit was fairly easy to build. In fact I managed to complete the chassis in just 8 hours. Take care and hope you have a great weekend mon ami.
@MarkBryanRC4 жыл бұрын
It's all going very smoothly, Rob! It really is a nice kit to build, nothing too difficult but rewarding all the same - great to see another Tamiya coming to life. Nicely done my friend, as always, well explained and demonstrated. All the best, dude, catch ya later! :))

Cheers mate. It went together really quickly bar a bit of a rookie mistake attaching part of the steering the wrong way round hehe. Well I was going to see if you wanted to go up the track this afternoon, but just noticed the rain bummer!

It's a good thing I checked... MID Week Videos from you AND Mark!! This is a nice Kit to build. The TT-02 Chassis has got to be one of the most versatile ever designed!! I've never had the Buggy version... And I'm even considering changing my TT02 into a TT-02B!! 😲😉 Enjoy your Week my Friend! 😁 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
@robbrennanrc4 жыл бұрын
Sure is Carmine, only took about 8 hours for the chassis including filming and re filming hehe. IF you can get hold of the parts I would do it dude. Here's hoping you have a fab weekend mate.

Great build video. How has the buggy held up since the build ? Any tips on it ?

I didn't know about not greasing ball bearings, is this OK and I've always greased?
@robbrennanrc4 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. I never grease the ball bearings as it attracts grit and dust and so far I have not had any issues. Thanks for watching.
@aviano724 жыл бұрын
I bet you can build this together without a manual now, or Mark, lol Interesting sounds when u fast forward :)
@robbrennanrc4 жыл бұрын
You may be right mate but I would still use the guide even if only to pick the right screws etc... Hehehe, those came with my new software so thought I would try them instead of background music. Many thanks my friend and stay safe.

Another interesting detailed video Rob, thank you. I couldn't help notice that the pinion looked different from the usual tamiya offering. Do you know if it's a steel one and if so, did it come with the kit? Thanks.
@robbrennanrc4 жыл бұрын
Many thanks my friend. Yes the pinion gear is steel and came included in the kit.

I have a question put my kit together and followed the directions, put I’m having issues with the steering the back tires will go forward and the front will turn backwards
@robbrennanrc2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ernest. It sounds like you have accidentally installed one of the diffs the wrong way round. Hope this helps.

It's not too bad as the build guide is very detailed, just make sure you follow the steps very closely.

Hello friend, wonderful video! I am going to buy a tamiya plasma edge ii (what is it like to get spare parts?) in fact, the important spare parts are what has led me the most to buy this car, is it easy to get them? greetings😊
@robbrennanrc Жыл бұрын
Hello. The TT-02B is one of the most widely available chassis Tamiya do and as such spares and hop-ups are readily available throughout the world as far as I am aware.
@tofathi1953 жыл бұрын
Hello, i got this and i would like to ask you why you do not oil the parts, instructions say to do so, thanks
@robbrennanrc3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I don't use oil/grease on some of the build because I swap out the plastic bearings for sealed metal ball bearings that do not require grease.
@tofathi1953 жыл бұрын
@@robbrennanrc Oh i see! So i have to oil them, i just got the box nothing else(i will get the transmitter etc), sorry if i sound stupid, i am a complete novice this is my first RC.
@robbrennanrc3 жыл бұрын
Not a problem my friend. We were all novices once. The Tamiya build guide is very detailed, just make sure to read any and all notes and tips. What I do is go through all the build steps before I start to build to check for them. Hope this helps.
