I really like how Tamiya sells you a tool and you put it together like a model kit. I am really glad I didn't get my new A/C unit from them ;)

Rather than using diamond router bits, try using steel router bits with cutting edges, they work better when you want to remove more material like you were doing on that bonnet. I use the diamond bits more for a sanding effect or when removing smaller amounts of material. Steel router bits also don't get clogged up like diamond bits tend to do.
