Ah, this was interesting! One fun thing is when I watch a buggy build video, I can usually predict what comes next, but with this one I was quite clueless along the process... The engineering for that steering setup is pretty impressive! I'm guessing that back when this was designed it was too exotic to think of having two servos, so they needed more mechanical mindset back then, kind of fun to think about. As always, I'm looking forward to seeing next step and of course see it finished up. Have a great weekend there, mate!
@MarkBryanRC

Hello Mads, hope you are enjoying the weekend there! Glad you found this build interesting and yes, it is very different to a buggy build! I found it "challenging" to say the least and had to focus very hard on the instructions. Definitely not an intuitive build, this one. You could well be right about the single servo! But yeah, mechanically this is very interesting and well thought out. Take care my friend, cheers! :O)

Hiya Mark. Another top quality instalment of this guide. I'm surprised about the M3 size tie rods on this considering that the tyres are like the ones on my Arrmas which use M4 and M5 rods. I guess this won't go very fast so the crashes will be slow 🤔 Hey I meant to say before but every time you say 'like so' my Amazon device thinks that you said Alexa and then listens to what you say next and tries to answer a question. It's quite amusing but I keep having to say 'Alexa STOP' 🤣 Anyway great stuff mate. Best wishes to you 😁

Hiya Pete and thanks for watching yet another long build! Yeah, those tie rods are not only very thin, but I even bent one trying to get the ball-end on! Not a good sign, is it?!?!? But as you say, if this does 10mph I'll be lucky!!! Sorry about confusing your Alexa, poor girl! I've tried saying "like so" to my Alexa and she bloody ignores me! Thanks again mate and a jolly good weekend to you, Sir! 🙏👌👍😊

Another great video bud. Really looking forward to when I finally build mine now, it actually looks like more of an involved build than I originally thought (which is good) 😉 Cheesy pinions,flange nuts, stiff rods and well greased balls.... all valuable tips going forward mate! 🤣 You always know when you're tuned into a Mark Bryan video! 🤣 😂 I know Rob has a clod, not so sure about Dom and Craig.... but how cool would it be to include a Clod heat into this year's summer slam? 🤔 Thinking perhaps some kind of 'obstacle track'...... Logs, mud bog,ramps, cars to drive over etc, all against the clock? Lol, my imagination gets a bit carried away sometimes! Looking forward to see how things progress on this build mate, and the running videos are guna be awesome! 👍 👍 👍 👍

Thanks again, James! I just know you'll love building one of these, there is plenty going on and you need to concentrate as it's easy to make a mistake. Of course I made plenty! Haha yeah plenty of Pete Wylie double entendres to have a go at on this build, love it! Dom and Craig are seriously thinking about getting Clods, but ultimately it's down to finances. I really like your ideas for Clod competition and I hope we can make it happen. I have an Agrios, so I could lend that if we are a Clod down! Keep that imagination alive, being furtive is so much better than being stagnant my friend. Thanks again and take care, bud! 🙏😉👌👍

@@MarkBryanRC Sounds good to me mate, loved seeing that Agrios in action! Wasn't that the one you drowned the ESC on, then next time out crashed into a post? Mark- "I didn't see that"!!! Rob- "I did!!" 😂 🤣 😂 🤣 Isn't it funny how you never remember the skilled driving, just the crashes and breakages?!! 🤣 I'm sure whatever you decide on for this summers sessions will be fun either way! I've just been out in minus 3 degrees trying to work out how to make a Fazer charger General Lee jump over a police lunchbox for a jukes of hazzard tribute video we were thinking of doing! Not as easy as it sounds unfortunately, those fazer chassis are not natural 'air time cars'! Back to the drawing board..... All the best matey! 😆 👍 👍 👍

@@MarkBryanRC Catapult??!! 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 Lol.... trying not to destroy that gorgeous charger body really mate, but I guess it could work?!!! 🤣 The problem is working out the right height ramp, at the right speed, at the same time as the police lunchbox drives past for the general to jump over.... some stunt synchronisation business! 🤣 Still, love a challenge.... especially an rc one! ☺ 👍 👍 👍

Hi Mark, in my last comment you replied saying you weren't gonna have 4 wheel steering as you needed extra parts, but on 18:32 in this video you appeared to show the 4 wheel steering in full operation. I was a big confused over that. Did you mean you'll need an extra servo? Anyway it's fascinating to see how a Clodbuster goes together as I've never watched a build vid for one before this. As you said last time it has all come together rather quicky. As always an excellently informative video...👍🏻🙂🙂👏
@MarkBryanRC

Hi mate and thanks for tuning in! Ah, yes my reply to you was "Oh and the RWS isn't an option, you can't lock the rear steering without buying other parts!" Sorry about that dude, I know what I meant but reading it back it is very confusing!!! 😂 So... RWS isn't an option, the kit comes with RWS as standard, i.e 4WS. What I was referring to is that some folk prefer just FWS (Front Wheel Steering) and to do this you have to buy extra parts in order to lock the steering assembly on the rear gearbox. I hop this make some sense, I think I'm going around in circles trying to explain! 🤣 Beam me up, Scottie! Glad you enjoyed it all the same. Yeah I don't think there are many build guides on this chassis, Uncle Bob made me do it as he said we needed one! Won't be long before the chassis is complete, but the bodywork might take a little longer! Hope your Sunday is a good one, dude! 🙏😉👌👍
@thecontractor365

@@MarkBryanRC Ah thanks for clearing that up mate, now I get it, and of course the body shells on these type of kits do tend to take longer than the chassis. In many ways anyone can put a chassis together, but doing these these shells well does take a special kind of skill and patience. Hope you had a good weekend dude :-))

No worries my friend, glad I finally made some sense! Yeah, as you know I'm gonna paint the hard body. I was hoping the plastic would look OK without paint, but sadly, no! I might just put an old basher body on the chassis and have a little fun first! Weekend wasn't bad thanks! Laters, dude! :))
