Oh, that was great to watch! I just did turnbuckles on mine also the other day and I also needed to "learn" which way which parts screw on, ha ha! The steering arms system from Tamiya looks great, the way they mount with those grub screws, looks very sharp! And new servo and radio system, good idea! Have a good one there!

Hi Mads! Uhh sounds good with your TT-02B too. Ahh, I actually think it was Tamiya that made that mistake with the turnbuckles. The actual thread definitely didn’t match the instructions 😄 Yeah gonna be awesome. I finished it today. Looks great but I have some serious editing work cut out for me the next couple of weeks before I can share it 😂😅 Have a pleasant week, my friend.

Ooooh - all that blue anodised alloy looks so nice on this buggy! Steering all strong and smooth now, this is gonna be a sweet handling (and looking) Tamiya. Top job on the video, very professional as always. All the best, my Nordic mate! :O)

This was a very helpful video - thanks. I've been collecting parts for a TT-02B build myself and didn't know about the TT-02 Steering Upgrade being usable with the TT-02B Turnbuckle Upgrade set - which I've already bought for my build. I'm not sure if I'm going all out with the bling upgrades myself but I do intend to do all the necessary hop-ups - bearings, etc. Your TT-02B is looking very nice indeed. 👍
@NordicRC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick! Yeah, many of these are not really necessary. Ball bearings, the steering and turnbuckles are nice though. Glad this video provided some info on the steering. Best wishes to you and your TT-02B my mate

Great stuff as always Mikael!!! I put the same steering upgrades on my TT-02 Type-SR, but it uses long screws through the bottom of the chassis for the bell cranks instead of those grub screws. Awesome video my friend, Keep'm coming!!!!

Thank you, Bob! Ahh, yeah, I’ve seen those ‘sockets’ on the bottom of the TT-02 chassis and thought some of the TT-02’s might use them. Anyways, the steering upgrade works sweet. Thank you again, Bob.

The Tamiya upgrade steering no. 54752 label that was pointed out 4:14 not for use with TT02B and TT02 Type-S. Any interference later in the series. I assume use the longer turnbuckles from the other option set.

Steering links / turn buckles from the separate turnbuckle TT-02B set yes ☺️

That's some sweet steering setup, not seen that set before. The upgrade bill must be getting scary.

Hiya Mikael. They look like very worthwhile upgrades for your TT-02B. Did it say on the packet that it wasn't for the TT-02B? I put an alu steering upgrade on mine but it was a different brand and I think that your official Tamiya one looks better. There is still a bit of slop in the pivots on mine. Anyway good stuff. I hope all is well mate. Did you see that I replied to your email about the RC elf?
@NordicRC3 жыл бұрын
Hej Pete! Yeah, might as well go all in 😀 And yeah, the steering upgrade package says it’s not for the TT-02B, but that is mainly because it includes turnbuckles for the TT-02 touring car (much shorter obviously). So that’s why I got the TT-02B turnbuckles set too. But yeah, I got a similar set for the DF-02 by GPM Racing, also with ball bearings, and that does the job too. Uhh, must check my mail. Thanks Pete! Been busy all day with the TT-02B (family is out of town - so this was the first opportunity to spend some serious time in the hobby room for at least a month). It’s all finished now. Although I now got tons of footage that I need to find time to edit 😅

So when you going to drop a brushless in there I know these chassis can take 4,000 or higher. Lol
