Hi Bob, some excellent tips along the way there dude! I used most of your advice when building the XV02 diffs. But hey, at 23:25 surely the amount of axle movement was because the outer bearing wasn't fitted yet? I hope it wasn't, anyway!!! Great to see you using the lighter for heating the shrink tube and not a cigarette!!! Thank goodness you got rid of the cr@ppy screw pins, you know how much I hate 'em!!! 🤣🤣 As for the motor mount issue at the end, set the motor position with the top screw, then remove the motor and mount, tighten the bottom screw and refit the motor and mount. No need for holes mate! Enjoyed the video, can't wait to see that body!!! 😁😁👍👍

Thanks dude... That slop was step screw slop (king pins) between the carrier and knuckles. The whole point for the motor mount is not removing it to make adjustments I thought but then you only really have one screw holding the motor/gear mesh tight. If you have to put it in, set the gear mesh with the top screw then pull it out to tighten the bottom screw the put it back in, what's the point? Just use the Tamiya motor mount.. Over 2 months smoke free... I just got up and trying to reply, I should have coffee first... Thanks Mate!!!

Hi there Bob, wow! Lots of great wisdom, hints and tips in that video. 😊. I’m going to have to review again, so much information, amazing details, lovely to hear you in full flow 😂😂😂the TT-02BR looks to be a very advanced TT-02 chassis indeed. Oil filled differentials for a start, not find that on a TT-02 chassis, dog bone drive shafts etc…. Lovely to here you giggling away to yourself with the orientation issue 😂😂😂 awesome video my friend. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊

Very cool! Lots of great tips in there! I do appreciate the sticky grease on the loose bearing hole, I will definitely use that one! I have done the shrink wrap on the drive shaft pins before The motor mount would work but it would be a pain. If you snugged up the lower screw just so you could adjust it and then mount it with the bottom screws and then adjust your mesh and lock in the top screw of the motor you could pull it back out, tighten down the lower motor screw and reassemble it. It is a lot of extra steps for sure and I would stick the Tamiya mount too!! LOL!! I am looking forward to seeing what you end up with for the body design and I am sure you will do a great job on it. Practice on some clear plastic food container or soda bottles to get the hang of it!

Thanks Peter... I just did a rebuild of my TT-02SR and your right, there are a lot of build videos on the TT-02 chassis, that's why I didn't do a full build video.

The kit is a blast man, Yeah, I can't read simple instructions, LOL. My only complaints are the use of screw pins and I wish it came with the alloy motor mount. I can over look the motor mount but those screw pins, Why Tamiya, Why?? I tested the chassis with both motors and all I'm gonna say is, the Epic Motor is over 10mph faster than the 427....

Thanks man... The TT-02 is such an easy chassis to work just like the TT-01 but they have their differences. Can't go wrong with either one.

I don't have the body painted yet but I do have an old Epic Intense motor in it. I just don't have the motivation to do it. Its a great kit and my first TT-02B style kit. Plus I had to steal the wheels/tires off my Super Avante.
