Oooyeah! Now it's ON! You are catching me up, dude! We have both got a few cards to play so this could get tight! All to play for now, buddy, but I'm stepping it up for the next one! Great vid, how come when there is a single solid object to hit, we always hit it?!?!?!? Love the Merc, such a beautiful bit of kit. Another one for the "I want" list! Cheers, mate! 😎😎👍👍

Yeah bud I am catching up!! It is great we still have options to get us faster. I think we need a drag race at the end of September!! That lap post was a big hit and I was lucky there was so much grass about to protect me 😂🤣 The C11 was amazing! I would add it to the list but not sure when I would use it regularly (other than the OAG speed death bend!!) Let’s go for 40 pal 🙌🏻🔥🚀

Cheers for the giggles Craig..... I nearly fell off the toilet laughing when I heard your curb/tree comment about us! 🤣 😂 🤣 😂 Not guna lie, you're probably totally correct, that mustang is going to get killed.... but not before we have beaten Rob and his army of squirrels, and I have beaten Taylor!! 🤣 😂 🐿️ As for your run- Superb mate, 31!!!! Ohhhh,i think Mark may be getting a little uncomfortable now bud, your reeling him in!! Enjoyed the drag races, and the cool crashes in this one,very entertaining. Just remember, I may crash into curbs, and Taylor may crash into tree's.... but the OAG crashes into lamp posts!! 🤣 😂 👍 👍 👍

Hey James, I knew you would love that little comment 😁 Sorry I said Poor Boys rather than Greenhawks though! I really should consider a script or at least some notes when I record 😂 I am starting to close the gap but I am throwing all my options at it now! I only have a few tricks left to go and then I will be pretty much tapped out. I am just happy to have broken 30mph which was my initial target. Perhaps we’ll push onto 40mph now. The lamp post…. You got me there pal but at least she is still in one piece other than a wing mirror or two coming off 😂 off camera my brother in law was having a go and hit a stone and sent it flying too 🤣 Now if you are enjoying the crashes wait until you see the next run 😜 Thanks for watching pal 🙌🏻

Hey great improvement Craig. Tell you what you are doing well to get those speeds on a narrow path with a bend in it. I don't really have any ideas for mine when I change it to brushed other than to gear it up and use the 15 turn motor that I have. I do want to do another brushless run before then but really want a better place to try it which seems to be your problem too. Good luck with the next one mate 😁👍👍
@theoagrc Жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, thanks for the recognition on the bend dude! It adds to the challenge and I know there is a few more in the tank when I am ready for it. Good luck with your brushed runs. I would do that before you amp up that brushless one 😂

Nice runs Craig! Great to have your brother out there to race with you! 31mph is a really great speed out of your set up! Just a Quick question, have you tried different battery connectors on your set up? I just remember several years back having 2 rc's that had those tamiya plugs, I was having connection issues on one of them. I decided to change both of them out and go with a deans on one and an XT60 on the other. I literally gained 3 mph on each car. I couldn't believe that something as simple as battery connectors gave that much extra performance. is this something you may consider? Glad to see your car didn't suffer any damage from that tele-pole!

Hey Robbie, it was a blast to get out and race some cars together. I am trying to encourage him to get a buggy which I don’t think is far off happening!! The speed was wicked fun and I am happy to have hit 31mph. It was sketchy today though after being so straight before. I spent some time studying the C11 after and I have some great tips on what else I can do to the chassis. I don’t have any way of charging the deans plugs but might invest in a better charge and some plugs towards the end of the challenge for another boost 😜

Glad you have gotten over the 30mph mark! You really need a better place to run them! I know spaces are harder to find over there but I think you could easily pick up anoth1-2 mph and not have to pull weeds so often in another spot. I know, easy for me to say not knowing anything about your town! LOL! Keep tinkering and are running the 68t spur or the 64t?
@theoagrc Жыл бұрын
Hey Addam, I was so pleased with the speed and getting over the target! It is harder here in the UK to find empty lots to run in as lots of places are gated. This run spot is not far from us and has lovely fresh tarmac which I think has an advantage in out 1/10 scale cars as the rocks etc (at least early on) are smaller. Spur is now 64T and we are on that 29T pinion so I am pushing the limits at my 0.6mod stuff now. I still have a few batter and motor combos to try to get more creative. Great fun challenge and as you can see is given plenty of laughs! Thanks for tuning in brother 🙌🏻

Congrats on gaining more speed been. Watching the episodes for a while now. You were saying you were surprised about the speed of the c11 on a sport tunes motor. It will be down to the final gear ratios. If your running a 64t spur with a 29t pinion on the tt02 your fdr is 5.74. The c11 if running stock which is a 14t pinion has a fdr of 5.00 of its got a 16t pinion in it the fdr is 4.38 Are you allowed to go to 48dp gearing as then you will be able to really Increase the speeds with a little modifying of the tt02 gear cover
@theoagrc Жыл бұрын
Hi there Asif! Thanks for the insight on the C11. I think with the same motor that car would be well clear of 40mph. It was so easy to drive too! Got me thinking about a few ideas for my own speed run car which I have been playing about with this evening! We can use any pinions and gears we like but I have not yet modded the gearbox. What size spur do you think will hit the limit before I need to dremel it??
@asif34 Жыл бұрын
@theoagrc to be honest as it's not something I've done I can't be sure. It will be more about as the pinions get bigger. You can get a 63t tamiya spur that will slightly bump up the fdr with the same pinion. With 48dp 0r 64dp you can go bigger pinion smaller spur etc you could go all out and go mod 1 which I'm pretty sure is what the speed runners use. I know guys that have gone 48dp or 64dp use the yeah racing motor mou nt as it allows you to move the Mesh as one screw can slide back and forth to give you more flexibility. For example and this is with 48dp gearing A 29 48dp pinion and 55 spur brings you down to 4.93 If you went 35 pinion 55 spur your at 4.09 and so on with all different tooth counts and combinations The combinations are endless but uts certainly test and see. And the motors definitely gonna get hot. Use the gear calculator Pro app as you can calculate all kinds of combinations. The internal ratio for the tt02 is 2.6 Might have to check again by trail and error of there a maximum and minium tooth count etc. But good luck
@theoagrc Жыл бұрын
@asif34 amazing advice asif! Thank you so much for watching and also taking the time to share this info. I have a 60T 48dp spur on the way which I am pairing with a 48dp pinion.
