its a weird corruption we don't see today where they siphoned money and corruptly gave out contracts, but still actually got stuff done. today we have the grift but without the commitment to getting things done

We obviously have a ton of corruption in todays politics, but I honestly don't think it's anywhere near as bad as it was in this time. The Republican side was having a quite public debate between the stalwarts and the half-breeds, where the stalwarts were publically like "the half-breeds are only half-republicans because they don't even want corruption and political machines. What losers." Today's government is a lot more inefficient though. I think we're a lot more procedurally and civil minded today then we were at the time. I just think that if someone threw a chair in congress, we could get a budget passed 🤣

My name as you can see is Tammany, but I was named in honor of Chief Tammany aka Tamanend. Many don't know about Chief Tammany, but he was one of the first signers of the peace treaties with William Penn and known as Chief Friendly.

Great to see footage at proper speed. Had to do with "modern" projectors and "outdated" hand cranked footage but computers have finally solved it. No more Keystone Cops...
