I put my small business on the back burner for SO long. I opened in 2010 (18yrs old) and now (in my 30s) I’m breathing new life into my business but for the long run and hopefully I can steadily grow my own small community. Your channel has honestly gotten me through a lot this year and I am forever grateful to you. Much love! Enjoy your break ✨

Once I left, I didn’t understand how social media could benefit my business as it was just facebook and the beginning of IG. Kept it local for a while but if you mean restarting now? I found a handful of successful businesses and kept a journal of their advice to slowly utilize in my own business tactics. I’m no where near being able to do this full time. I think that will come organically as I produce content. Best of luck on your art journey! ✨

Tammy you make me cry with each of your videos. You make me feel so seen, heard, valued and understood. I literally blow kisses to my screen & say thank you each time you speak. I can’t stop grinning whenever a video of yours drops on KZbin & I cannot WAIT to have the honor of holding Strawberry Maxine in my arms. I took a long hiatus as an author because I am burnt out & thought wasn’t anyone peeping for me but my analytics when I drop a reel or a video says otherwise. The world is waiting for my comeback and I have amazing people I want to meet & collab with in this life one day, and yes you’re one of them. I truly look up to you & you show me what life can actually be versus what my scarcity mindset tells me to do or be, and that is worth its weight in gold. And yes everything about you is pure gold & I truly admire you and all you do. All of my love sis, I would love to interview you for my podcast show in 2025 & if not I’ll happily spam tf out of Strawberry Maxine when it drops. Thank you for the gift of you & your art 💖💖

I really loved the transparency in this video. It can be easy to glamorize small business life, so it becomes even more important to remind folks how much of the money made goes back into the business or expenses or TAXES. Like, yes it evens out or you wouldn't be doing it, but this is definitely not a get rich quick strategy. Congrats on an amazing year.

Dear tammy, i understand you must (and can) be very proud, because of your sells, money, and all that business stuff and pays. Honestly, I do not think its your business which is selling so good. Its YOU! Its your heart, thouths, soul and your WHY. Recently I heard the phrase „people do not buy what you do, they buy why (and how) you do it“. And I truly believe in that. Its the reason behind, the reason why and how someone is doing something. It makes a huge difference if someone is doing fast and optimized stuff in hustle or stressed out to earn money to be able to live from. Or if someone is doing and creating with love, full heart and soul, patience and a bigger meaning behind… And then it is not important if someone could live from it, when it would be only stress. I see the most lucky and calm people doing the things they love with patience and time, NOT to be able to live from it, instead because they love it and have that deeper meaning behind and supporting it with another (easy) but sustainable and still cool job, to be able to do what they love in a small way on the side. I see so often people they want to live from their art, but loosing the fun in the pressure of being able to live from it fulltime, and selling crap ads (selling their soul) to be able to do that.. Why you need to live from it? Why this has to be the ultimate goal? Creativity needs time and space and is not only here, thats the magic.. Why its not worth doing another good and easy job, which allow doing creative stuff on the side when creativity is with us. We can not be all day creative, it needs rest and breaks, sometimes long breaks. It does not have to be the ultimate goal to do that fulltime and make stress again where it should not be stress. Why everyone want to be fulltime artists? They will burn out their precious but limited creativity in short time, loosing their fun and love to it.. Its so sad to see that more and more, and I dont understand that goal. (I know it feels independent and like being „free“, needing no one and all that, but is that realy true? Having stress and hustle to push creativity, make ads for crap (which is often), its a huge price to sell for that apparent independence)

I am now working in tech and I really miss helping ppl learn so I want to do something about that as my hobby and that also leads me to you. Anyway, even I am not an artist but watching your VDO is quite soothing for some reason. Especially this one, as I said I have just found you but I want to let you know that I am also proud of you. You have inspired me a lot. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to learn a lot from you ❤️

Thanks so much for being so transparent with gross versus net profits-a realistic portrait of actually running an art/handmade goods business is so much more encouraging and aspirational than the videos that clearly over-idealize the lifestyle (downplaying how much hard work actually goes into it all) and oversell cost versus rewards of being a small business owner. I’m so grateful to be able to build towards opening my own small business in the new year with realistic aspirations and lessons learned from your experiences 😊❤ congratulations on a great year, can’t wait to see more from you and your shop in the new year!

Hi Tammy! You've been such an inspiration to me this year as I started my own small art business! From your ups to your downs, seeing your journey along the way, especially seeing you take breaks when you needed it, has really helped me develop a healthier relationship with my business as a college student. I'm a digital arts and sciences major, so I develop video games and draw all of my game assets, so trying to find that balance between school and my business was hard, but I took a page from your book and put my business in the back burner for a few months. Now that I'm done with the semester, I just sold at my very first local community market and it went so well!! Basically, this is just a long winded way for me to say thank you so much for being my inspiration to start my business! I truly attribute a good chunk of my success to the skills I've learned from you and your business🥰🫶🏻

Always take a break for your mental health. When I do some projects I kinda cry too because I also have this mentality to do everything at once and not taking a break since it seems to be a waste of time, but I now realized how important breaks are. I don't have the same thoughts after I had a break and my body feels recharged that I feel positive on my project. When I didn't take a break, I felt that everything looks bad and I don't feel fine physically, I want to quit the project, but after taking a break I see things differently. So I really can relate to the first part of this video. I wish the best for your business and you really inspired me. I'm gonna try making some charms soon. I hope I can make it cute like your creations. I'm old and I just want to try out new things. Your videos are helping me to take my first step into polymer clay. Thanks for inspiring me. 🙂

Hi Tammy! I've been following your journey since 2022. Thank you for being transparent as you are a big inspiration to many aspiring artists and aspiring small-business owners! I think for 2025, perhaps you can expand a new clay product line that involes the use of molds like the bunny pancake! It'll cut down time, provide affordable product options, and keep the product line consistent with what you are known for-ceramic! Otherwise, please take care of yourself and focus on sponsorships if you have to. Working 24/7 for 4 years while stressing out about the volatility of your business and the economy can only lead to intense burn-outs. Take care~ 🎄❄☃

This is such a good video. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Most people don’t make $60k net in a job. Plus you aren’t at the mercy of a boss or someone else’s company. This is amazing 🤩

I always love hearing your story! Your videos are always so comforting and inspiring to me! You work so hard to make your dreams come true and no matter what happens know that there will always be people rooting for you (like me 😉) and congrats on running a business so well, you know upscaling and selling plushies and even being able to support your parents, like that's amazing!!! In many ways, I wanna be just like you, lots of love! ❤❤❤❤❤

I love your videos so much! Your work is really inspiring and has got me considering starting my own small business. It’s really cool watching these videos from your perspective and experience. I also have to say, you are great at doing what you do, not only in the art aspect, but also in your videos. I only recently found your channel about a month ago and let me tell you, I’ve watched at least half of your videos. So thank you for sharing your passion with others! Happy holidays! ♥️🎄

I would like to up my content creation game and create a community, so that I can have at least one order for my shop! It has been really difficult and tiring makin all my handmade stickers and art print, and seeing that no one was interested in purchasing them. But I didn't give up thanks to inspiring artists like you ❤
