I wish I could convey how truly grateful I am for having found your channel a few years ago. Since then you’ve inspired and encouraged me to go back to my art. Art has always been what I truly love and feel most joy with. But sadly got stuck in the away from state. If that makes sense. I will admit, at first I was a bit upset with your new direction. Moving away from beautiful, unique things to things that everyone is making (in my mind, that’s what I thought at first). But watching this video, I realized that you are still making beautiful things, that are useful as well. And suffering from complete burnout myself from my handmade craft, I realized that I need to do things like this myself if I want to keep going. Thank you for this reminder that uncomfy is not a bad place to be, and that even if an item’s not precisely handmade it can still be unique, useful, and beautiful.

while I see your point I also think she's just following the money now. This entire video is just an ad for printify. Even if she ends up actually using it the entire purpose was to promote something. It's what a lot of art channels have become. They make money with there art but then realise they can make way more by getting others to try and be artists than being one themselves.

I get how upsetting it can be at first that she is redirecting her business, but I also want to offer my perspective. She needs her business to be sustainable and long-lasting. While she never talks about personal stuff in detail, it's safe to assume that she also needs more time for herself and her family. She does not need to explain her life and why she decided to move into a new direction. I think people tend to forget that she is very very young. She is only 23 now, if she wants her business to be sustainable she will need to find a way not to hand-make every single item that she sells (which she has, creatively). If she only caters to the market for hand-made items, then it will take a toll on her health, take away most of her time, and especially on her wrist - it's kind of unfair to place a burden on one single person to create "authentic" art. But I am indeed glad that you understood at the end that she is still authentic at the end of the day - she hand-crafts some of her items, maintaining the authenticity that the shop has always been known for, while expanding her product line. And IMO, hand-making things is not the only way to stay authentic. If you still design things yourself, then it IS as authentic as it gets - what makes cheap manufactured items lose its soul is the fact that they most of the time do not even hire a designer, pay them they well-deserved royalties, and just rip off of talented artists such as her or recycle designs over and over again. And regarding sponsorships (this is only for @AF2277S and not @jennyg1845), it can be frustrating - but I don't see anything wrong with sponsorships as long as: 1) The sponsor is not a predatory business or does not follow a predatory business model, 2) It does not take away the artistic qualities of her products (for example doing the entire design from scratch for her), and 3) The sponsor still aligns with her passion and what her channel stands for. She needs sponsors to sustain her channel. If she stops taking sponsorships then she will have to quit KZbin or rely on other income streams. Personally I never buy into any kind of sponsorship, no matter how benign it is, - but some sponsors aren't bad at all. Like Notion, they are quite benign and a lot of people outside of avid KZbin users actually use it. It's good to be critical of sponsors especially in light of so many predatory sponsors like Honey and BetterHelp but let's remind ourselves that Tammy is just a young woman trying to make it and she is doing things that so many others can't. She is still her authentic self - as someone who is going to work for corporate, working in corporate is even more fake than this. You make corporations richer. Let's not place a burden on one single person to be our definition of "authentic". Let's follow Tammy along her journey and see where this takes her. It's good to be critical but it's just unfair for me that Tammy is being called "inauthentic" simply for making manufactured items which she designs completely by herself and taking sponsorships here and there.

Those are so cute! I actually design surface patterns and sublimate them onto mousepads, car coasters, and bookmarks. The satisfaction of making my designs come to life is so amazing. Nothing beats the feeling that you made something yourself. I love art so so much. I really like the glass cans. I've designed a few wraps of late and I think I need to buy a cup press to make some IRL to use. Maybe I'll make something for myself with my little bird icon as a treat haha :) Also, the mantra "stay uncomfy" resonates with me so much, b/c stepping out of my bubble to put myself out here and do art and try to start a business is NOT in my realm of comfort. I don't need to do this, I want to, and it's hard to motivate myself sometimes b/c I just want to play video games and not risk being judged or disappointed.

As a prospective entrepreneur dabbling in the print on demand niche, there is always conflicting advice about making for yourself or making for others. I think you hit the balance with these products, Tammy! Low key, I want the green Uncomfy tumbler. Orange and green are one of my favorite color combos and the message is something I keep close to my heart.
