So cool to see these OG classics stretch there legs. Finest rides of the early 80s. And you deserve an award for the best camera work one could ask for. You can really see the action of the suspension.

My brother and I had one of these each way back in 1982 which got us both started in rc car racing. 42 years down the road and I'm still racing 🏁 😊. Wish I'd have kept that original Holiday buggy from then! Have got the re-release however it's just not the same tho! ☹️

Cool! Thanks for your great comment, much appreciated 👍😃! And yes, the 80ies Original an the "Re-issue" - I run both - they're just not the same. Maybe you once can catch an Original somewhere though, if you want so.... best regards!

Awesome video bud!! Love love love the slow motion. I would way rather see the slow motion with some good music than the "now so popular" go pro. Not a huge fan of the first person view. I love to see the articulation of the suspension and the movements of the vehicle as it is bouncing along. Very cool!! Keep it up man.

Thanks Riccardo for your nice comment! To your good question: No, I've been using Tamiya's Lightly Tuned Motor (540 size) for this shooting. I actually never went with the 380.... best regards, Daniel

plastic drive shafts wore on mine where they entered the gearbox, I added a cell or two to the standard 6v battery which may have over-stressed them, I wanted the sand scorcher but was out of my price range as a 14 year old.
@Tamor704 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your nice comment ! And yes, with 7.2 or even 8.4 V batteries you can over-stress "the construction" (for sure with 8.4 V). Hope, in the meanwhile you got a sand scorcher as well .... :-) best regards!

Beautiful video, I used to have a holiday buggy when I was a kid, just bought the new edition.... just wandering ... what tires are u using in the holiday buggy !! Seems like a nice upgrade
@Tamor708 жыл бұрын
Hi ! Thanks for your great comment! Actually, in this video it is all vintage, also the tires. So these tires are back from the time (80ies) and as far as I know, never been re-issued on any re-issue model... I also have the new edition /re-issue of the Holiday Buggy...it's different but also fine to drive - so, have fun with yours :-) best regards

Hi, thanks for your comment/question. Actually I can't tell you exactly, but with the RS-540 motor installed, I would guess or estimate 25-30 km/h. Best regards!

does anybody know if its possible to put wheels off the hornet buggy on the sand rover buggy?
@Tamor709 жыл бұрын
Hi Dylan, at the rear end it doesn't really work. The Spike Tyres/Wheels will be blocked by the axle holders. Unless you do some manual adjustments. Front I guess should work fine, best regards, D.

ok
@RFVCXR200R9 жыл бұрын
Dylan Fathbruckner on the new version you can supposedly use Frog universals to get the proper stub axle length, and of course use the rear wheel adapters too. When my parts come in I'll find out for sure!
