Baker himself said that Canales made playing fun for him in a way no one had done for years. & I think that at this point in his life, _that is _*_still_* a priority for him. A higher one than winning. The celebrations, the head-butting teammates who don't do that to each other, the show-boating including being bad on 1st & 2nd downs to make 3rd down seem like more, hence the slow starts to every season... Did his reaction to throwing that season-ending INT *change* any of this? I doubt it. He doesn't bear down & take things more seriously when the game is on the line. I'm not saying "that makes him garbage" but it's something to look out for in considering this team as contenders. If he's not having fun, will he play well at all? When pressured? What has to happen from one game to the next to entertain him enough to make an effort?

Such an important point on Baker. He’s a “vibes” guy. It’s why I think he was always a better college QB than a pro. He has the personality of a linebacker, and a coach who taps into that is crucial.
