I was hoping you would have gone to Bern's Steakhouse in Tampa. In the 30 years I've lived here I have never had the pleasure of eating there. I also just watched your Portland video. I lived there for 14 years so it was nice to see the city again. Keep up the good work!

This is where I was born. I've live about 40 minutes north of Tampa in the beautiful Nature Coast. We have more woods and rivers here, and when we want to be in the city we just hop in a car and take a easy drive. Btw Ybor at night is a whole other world full of drunkenness, altered states, and debauchery lol.

Wow Ybor City seems decent enough to walk in. I always heard it's got issues with crime etc and not safe. Looks safe to me!
@phineas6263 жыл бұрын
Crime really hasn’t been that problematic in the last 5 years or so. It’s now mainly east in VM Ybor north past Interstate 4 outside the Ybor City district you see in this video.

What's the weather like right now?
@stonewolf.903 жыл бұрын
The weather in February in the Tampa Bay area is perfect. Usually mid 60s to mid 70s for the highs and 40s to 50s for the lows. There are some days where it can be unusually hot or cold though

We live right here in St. Petersburg by Treasure Island beach. It's a wee chili right now! Would be happy to meet you for a drink! Enjoy.

Yes very chilly right now. Hope tomorrow is warmer
@lilithrosestarseed3863 жыл бұрын
@@IslandHopperTV a little warmer! It's been colder than normal. My husband and I have lived here for 10 years. It's a great place to live. We have been watching your videos since you were in HI. St. Petersburg is cool. Ted Peter's smoked fish restaurant is unique. Much love.

As I travel I o a little busking with my instrument. Is there any particular area that is good for that?

Is the hurricanes crazy there?
@phineas6263 жыл бұрын
No surprisingly. You’ll get a hurricane like once a decade but for the most part is tropical storms that aren’t too bad in most areas apart from leaves falling from trees and the edge of hurricanes that go through Miami to the gulf

PSA. There is no city in Florida called "Tampa Bay". The city's only name is "Tampa" and has a city limits population of between 400,000 and 425,000 and the Metro Area called "Tampa Bay" which includes St Petersburg, Clearwater, and several smaller surrounding cities as stated in this video has around 4 million and growing. Also for the metro New Yorkers and California refugees please remove your masks in public unless you really think a face diaper is a fashion statement. Thank You.

Most people know Tampa by Tampa Bay so probably better to introduce this video Tampa Bay and then they learn the differences later
