I hate what’s happening to West Tampa! Tearing down the old homes and cramming 3 huge homes on the lot

Rattlesnake Point is the perfect example of why we NEED a solid planning department in the COT. That area is an epic fail. Thankfully the last big development is including a waterfront park even though the City refused to participate in that plan.

Totally agree. Epic fail. Hundreds of single use apartment units In one small area, forcing everyone to hop in a car on the smaller SOG roads to run the smallest of errands. Should’ve never been developed like that.

that army navy store is such a good idea. I drive by it everyday to the west riverfront area. I heard talks about the exit ramp to Blvd. There was a city building there that theu bulldozed on the corner of Blvd & W Laurel. Any ideas on future lot plans?

I REALLY wish the city would've done a better job with the Rattlesnake point project, as well as Rocky point. Those two areas couldve EASILY become a Dope mixed use residential/ retail/ entertainment/ WALKABLE waterfront districts 😪.....Awesome interview once again 💯💪🏾

They could’ve made it like Coconut Grove in Miami

A new Yorker just bought a house across the street sight unseen for 700,000. They were asking 650,000 and were about to get it from a born and raised local but the seller couldn’t pass up the offer.

As for the Privately Initiated Text Amendments, those NEEDED to go away. Carole Post wouldn’t allow staff to comment on them even when they were TERRIBLE for the City. Those PITA were often very deceptive and the experts at the city couldn’t say anything 😢

I agree ...Why do I have to drive a car to buy 12 eggs and milk?....

The people paying over a million to move into riverside heights are hilarious to me. I’ve lived here for 11 years and only paid 60k
