If you like the resort style life and beaches and picking up shells along the beach, St.Pete does have some nightlife downtown and a good waterfront with museums and a pier, free parking at some spots around the waterfront . Tampa has historical Ybircity with nightlife, the zoo, Seminole casino, great shopping the business hub of the Tampa Bay area, and Busch Gardens with a Safari theme and great rides, however Tampa only has one beach, so people in Tampa either go to NennT Davis beach or go to Pinellas, which St.Pete is located in because it's surrounded by water on 3 sides or go to Manatee, or Sarasota county. Tampa has a nice historical feel and great restraunt options from barbeque to Latin cuisine and Jamaican and Haitian restaurants and southern and soul food restaurants.

I’ve lived in Clearwater, st Pete, and Tampa. Clearwater was clean and nice, st Pete was where I got mugged I had 2 major surgeries and now have a painful limp. Tampa is a big bustling city.

I like St. Pete, and there are a lot of very nice things about it, don’t get me wrong. I’ve lived in both places, so I completely understand what you mean about St. Pete being more laid back feeling. However, this video comes off as so biased, it’s not even a fair video to compare. Most of the downsides you speak of with Tampa is actually just the downsides of living in the suburbs of Tampa. Has nothing to do with Tampa itself. For example, it takes me 30-40 minutes to get to the beach from Seminole Heights. While it’s not nearly as close as St. Pete, it’s not fair to say “some areas of Tampa will take an hour or more” because you’re not talking about the city itself at that point. Same thing regarding your housing comparison. You acknowledged Tampa has “some” historic homes, but you glossed over it and pointed to the suburbs saying there’s more new builds than in St Pete. Tampa has a TON of historic homes and neighborhoods between Hyde Park, Palma Ceia, Seminole Heights, Ybor/VM Ybor, and Old West Tampa. The new home developments you speak of are not in Tampa. The city of Tampa doesn’t have the land. Yes, they do tear down and build new homes lot by lot, but I don’t understand why you’re characterizing Tampa as having these large new housing communities. Nowhere in the actual city do they have these.. I could only make it through half the video because you either don’t really know much about Tampa, or you weren’t interested in giving an impartial overview of both.

Thank's for your feedback! I definitely have a bias for St.Pete as I choose to reside here but I love both Cities, in this video I am mentioning the Greater Tampa Area and not just City lines of Tampa. When it comes to housing I choose to highlight that St.Pete has mostly historic homes versus new construction builds and wanted to highlight on Greater Tampa's abundant new construction opportunities as this is something we lack in St. Pete. Both are great places and I'm glad you could share your opinion even if you disagree :)
