I know I’ll never afford anything in Tampa but I loveeee all the work that is being poured into Tampa. That an American City it's now focusing on the walk ability, and green spaces but also honoring history. I truly believe Tampa is (and you could argue is already) going to be the next big thing, and If this continues I think it could be the best city in America. Great video I love Tampa

Everything you said is exactly the problem with the area. Building housing for a particular niche of the market that the majority can't afford. In an area that doesn't even have the job market to support it. That's why Florida is ground zero for all housing cycles.

I live in Pinellas, grew up in Hamburg, Germany, spent over 25 years living in NJ and miss "proper" downtown areas. Tampa Riverwalk and Armature Works as well as Hyde Park are nice, but that's it. Outside of Tampa: crickets. With all the new construction in Florida, it's so sad that urban and suburban design is still centered around the car. Your video gives me hope that one day we'll be within 30 minutes drive of a thriving city. Thanks for showcasing the current and planned developments.

Fascinating but realistically homes are staying on the market longer in Tampa bay and selling for less than expected and the market is also showing we will start to see an upward trend in foreclosures.

@@tabitha8808 where did you pull stats from to back that data? I dont foresee a massive foreclosure wave as there is a tom of equity in homes still. Great video and yeah Tampa's core is finally filling out. One thing I like is that unlike other cities in Florida, Tampa has history. What sucks is home prices have not gone down and that has locked my family out of the home market. 400,000 is not affordable for most. So I wonder who is buying these homes? I assume people from up north or overseas who have cash.
@TampaFloridaLiving
@TampaFloridaLiving 11 күн бұрын
@@RedWolf75 thank you for chiming in! Love hearing from you! Honestly $400k has become the new norm. @TampaFloridaLiving I regret not buying a home in 2019. 400,000 is out of reach. Stuck in a townhome with 2 kids and unable to get them a backyard and a good school district gets to a person. It will take us 3 more years to be able to get one of these homes. Hopefully prices stay stable.

tampa is a sinking ship, i move here 4 years ago, and it went up during covid, but everyone is abandoning the city for a long list of reason, but most people i know move out, real estate is dropping like a dead duck out of the sky due to high insurance from all the hurricane in the last 3 years.
