Yup, the original bro bowl sat a couple hundred yards south. It sat directly across from the bethel baptist church. It was so fun to skate in the 90s. It had these huge brick pyramids next to it that were so fun to skate. It was super sketchy back then. You didn't want to be there at night. I'm glad they at least saved that small original piece of the bro bowl. I've also been skating the skatepark of tampa since the beginning. I have a bunch of photos from summer 94 skating their. Iconic place.

The skateboard historians wanted to save the original bro bowl. I don't miss it, and I'm sure those historians like the new park more. Former mayor Bob Buckhorn wanted the bro bowl moved because, as he said, it was an eyesore. Now if the city will put up lights so we can use the skatepark safely til 10pm. Skatepark of Tampa is awesome for all. The shop has a dope selection of merch for everyone. Thanks for covering this Jay.

So many memories playing Tony hawks pro skater. I remember my brother coming with the first PlayStation in the 90s and my grandparents buying us THPS the following Christmas. Bought all the games after that

My middle son was am amazing skateboarder in high-school...until his best friend passed away at 17 in a tragic skate board accident...he quit after that. Later on I found out about some of crazy stuff he did..including skateboarding off people's roof tops... A mama should never know that stuff🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

That’s always the dilemma. We have no fans, but always a great baseball team. Most tampanians were born in New York.
