I rode the "Monster Mansion" ie. "Monster Plantation" back when it was called "Tales of the Okefenokee" (that was the late 70's)). I'm old. I can't remember when it was re-named "Monster Plantation," but it was was my favorite ride throughout the 80's. The last time I rode it was in 2015 and I was shocked to see most of the animatronics were still there and working. Favorite ride of all time!

Jay, Six Flags actually did this event way back in the 80s for a few years and then it stopped. It was entirely different back in the 80s. There was snow sledding down the Gotham City walkway, chili, and other things I have forgotten about. This version is version number 2 of this event. We have been there once or twice during the last ten years.

Great vlog Jay. The last time I was at Six Flags was back in 1986-87. My first time there was the first year it opened when I was 9. The admission price back in the early 90;s was 20.00!!! and I thought that was ridiculous..HAHAHAHAHA.

Cool. When I was living outside of Six Flags STL. I used to love it when I'd drive by it, and they would have the place decorated for Christmas. They were closed for the season. But it always looked nice . Thanks, TJ. Man You sure asked Santa to come through for the Ray's. Lol

A bit of History at Six Flags. Did you know that Sid and Marty Kroft got their start at Six Flags Over Georgia! In 1967, they opened a puppet theater at Six Flags Over Georgia, which helped establish their reputation and eventually led to their own amusement park, The World of Sid and Marty Krofft, in Atlanta. They also introduced for the first time HR Pufnstuf for their new TV show they were getting ready to do. It was the last year they operated at Six Flags before moving to LA. I was there for their last show.. Interesting isn't it? Thank goodness my Dad filmed the show on his Bolex Super 8 Camera. Still have all that was filmed now on DVD.
