Tom Cruz sometimes the usb doesn’t work with the ps4 because the ps4 is picky so keep trying different ones, because my usbs worked with my bluetooth headphones but didn’t work with controller so keep trying

First off, I respect the video! I always appreciate someone trying to help others out. I just wanted to give an update. I have 4 different ps4 controllers. 2 of them the blue strip on the connector was facing towards the battery and the other two the blue strip was facing away from the battery. I recommend anyone who takes apart their controller to pay attention to what side this is facing. Take a picture just to be sure!

Why if you have the blue side facing the wrong way could that make it not charge the guy in the video says if the charge port is bent a little that it is broken and that's why it's not charging but mine isn't bent at all and still doesn't charge I think the ports are badly designed in general not because it might be bent so replacing the port won't do you any good they need to redesign it to have a better connection word of advice when controllers start to be cheaply made it's time to retire from gaming

For those who are trying to use their wired controller (doesnt have to be wired, but are using a wire to connect a controller to pc) with a pc, try unplugging the usb from the PC and replug it in the back, this has helped me multiple times (what it does is reset the connection the pc has with the controller, however you can also reset the connection the controller has with the pc by pressing the button on the back for a complete reset [Note: you will need an application such as Steam, DS4, or something similar for your controller to connect to a pc{without it it will simply charge the controller}])

Hello, good job there. I have one Dualshock 4 controller, its charging but the PS button is not responding when pressed. Initially when connected to the PS4 pro it will disconnect and when press it will connect and reconnect. But after trying to reset b pressing the RESET button, it never come up when the PS Button is pressed. The usb port/connector is working fine, even the share button works fine, but to power it with the PS button is the problem. What can be the issue and fix?

yasir raza I had this same issue, you can actually install the cable backwards. I may be wrong but I believe the black line on the cable inside the controller should be facing toward the inside of the controller. I hope that makes sense.

Hers an easy fix, throw it on the floor as hard as you can, and go buy a new one. JK But really, many people completely overlook the reset button, and also don't bother to clean out the charge port (that thing can get pretty packed with dust and debris). I had to take apart my launch day PS4 controller two weeks after I bought my PS4, the R1 button was sticking. I was quite shocked to find out it was using the same battery as the DS3 uses. But that launch day PS4 lasted me until this year. The R2 now only will register 80%, you really have to press hard and twist for it to see 100%. And the thumbsticks are no longer returning to 100% center. It'll still charge and does work, but with its issues it's pretty much useless so I just bought a new one.
