The volt output was higher so when i was charged my ipad and used it at the same time it moved on its own so i just swapped the charger and fixed the whole issue.

Same. I usually drop t on the floor at night when I fall asleep. Earlier today the touchscreen started to not recognize anything. It was hard ware related for me as rebooting helps. For mine I used it and then it stopped responding, I freaked and tried everything and it wouldn't work and I ripped off my screen protector only to waste it, my 3GS worked, my 5c worked and my iPad 2 worked and then I tried rebooting.

My IPad Mini screen was unresponsive and I brought it to Apples's Authorized Dealer, A.Lab at Changi City Point. The staff there was typically zero knowlwedge on troubleshooting. Her job is to coax me to dump my iPad Mini and to settle for a 'New' set for half the retail price at $335. I was very disappointed and sad that that's how APPLE treat their loyal customer. Nevertheless, I persevered on the troubleshooting without any help. Using the software reset method is totally useless as the video above showed. Also, my Home button was also unresponsive. I resorted to starving the device by draining its battery till the unit Autoshutdown after 3 days or so. I let it remained 'Dead' for around 25 minutes. Then I charged it up for around 25 minutes. I was then able to switch it on again with the screen again 'RESPONDING'. So, there's no need to physically open up the device at all.

I have an iPad Mini 2 and I did not drop it. My iPad got wet and after that everything continued working fine except that the bottom half of the screen does not respond (exactly 50% of the screen). Could this be fixed in the same way as you showed in the video? I feel like that this has to be a similiar problem to the one shown in the video becasue otherwise the screen would not be exactly halved.

if ipad got wet open it and use a hairdryer to dry it but if its dry then i recommend to turn it off unplug battery and use only 95% alcohol to clean water residue with tooth brush and reseat connections which can fix it.
