Guys please make sure it's the same tablet as the one in the video before commenting, if it is the same model and has the same options as the tablet in the video,then have you tried the last option of the full factory reset? If yes is answer, lastly have you dropped your tablet at all? If you have dropped it then it maybe that your digitizer is at fault or has a software malfunction which may need your tablet needing a software flash. I

I have a onn tablet its a tablet gen 3 that a 8" tablet everything is working beside the navigation bar it only works when I trun the tablet around is there anyway I can fix that? I have an ATMPC Android tablet and I figured these directions might work but it pops up that Android logo except mine doesn't have the caution sign. It stays on that screen. It doesn't do anything else after reaching that screen. Touch screen is completely unresponsive. I also noticed that the back button is the only one showing up on the navigation at the bottom. The home and recent apps buttons are missing. I got this for my son for Christmas and it's worked fine until today.

Tracy Aung Try to clean the memory it may be that your RAM is low. Handy Apps can be downloaded from google play store to help in the future. Gogetyours hello, can you please reply. So I have a noa 4g (vivo), during this madness I sanitized it quite a lot with ethanol products. So one part of the screen has unresponsive touchscreen, but only down towards the bottom. I have to out it into landscape mode to be able to access all letters or numbers on keyboard. So in this case, it works but partually doesn't - would hard reset really help or the damage is physichal due to alcholic products that I was exposing it to via wipes or sprays? Also I don't know if this phone has soft reset at all, can you help? I don't know combination to trigger it, and sadly volume down button doesnt work all the time and screenshot combo refuses to work so... I doubt combi ations will work. Maybe some other way? Ps, I really would be grateful for help.

First try this safe mode Turn off the phone Press power button to turn on phone then long press on the volume down key when the Vivo logo appears The phone should now boot in Safe Mode

If that doesn't help, try a hard reset Press and hold the Volume Down + Power key together for a short while. Release all buttons when Fastboot Mode appears. In this mode select “Recovery”. Use Volume Down to navigate and the Power key to confirm that. Press the volume key to highlight the “wipe data / factory reset” and press the power button to enter. A screen with many NOs and a YES will appear, with the volume keys again go to the YES and press with the power key. Use the volume keys to go to “reboot system now” and press the power key. Do not install any apps yet after the reset. Try to check if the screen touch issue still occurs.

If none of these two work it's most likely two things, 1: either moisture has somehow got into the unit, which will need drying, usually solved by placing the unit in a tub of rice for a few days with lid on, the rice pulls any particles of moisture that you cant see out of the system, however the case may need to be opened up on the back of the unit first. 2: Sanitising the screen has effected the screen in a particular area where it has come away from the digitiser behind, unfortunately if this is the case the screen and digitiser will need to be replaced.

Thank you so much for all the replies. Here's what has happened. After I wrote that question, screen continued to work badly and at some point started freezing altogether every few minutes. So I just went by luck and copied all files to the sd, and searched hard reset in the settings and had it done. It took less than a minute which was suspicious to me, (well idk it was too quick and I had a bunch of apps) so I did just immediately one more time. It again took less than a minute. Then I was able to see which things work better. Here's the result: volume down button now works, screenshot combo now again works perfectly, phone is quicker, there's no error that there's less available memory than there really is. On the negative side, part of a screen is still unresponsive. I cannot tell if it is physical damage because every once in a while some frozen parts actually do register a touch, but it's once in few days, plus when you touch over the frozen area, phone can start to act really wild. Plus it happens out of the sudden and also for no reason, even if no touching the touchscreen. This problem is also from before and maybe its related to alcohol as well but idk. It looks like this. As if invisible hand is touching the menu / home button hundreds times in a minute (this is the blocked /frozen area btw, not the recent apps or back button, but home screen buttons, plus some 3,5 cm above it, with width of maybe 2 cm. So that is always blocked but if I run a keyboard in landscape mode, somehow all letters can work, but only sometimes. Some parts are blocked even in landscape mode so for some of the settings above keyboard, I must turn it to portrait to access them. The "wild behavior" involves forceful opening of the Google app on its own, clicking random links or apps, things inside of apps. Just few hours after the hard reset, this glitch reappeared! Horrible. It is very hard to get rid of it. I turn off the screen few times or must restart the phone. At the moment of glitch reappiring, I've already had most of the apps back, so now idk if some app is guilty. Since I dont get notifications, I went to see if maybe you have answered and yay... I have saved the combos for future, thank you so much... but I still have the problem... Phone was left alone last week for 7 days on a shelf in a really warm room (constantly 20 - 30 Celsius)... Yes I've used alcohol on it again afterwards but only once that same day later when I returned to it. I switched to a different phone for work but this one has sentiment value because it is a present so its quite important that it works... Based on this all, do you think that this "wild" episodes are a good sign? (tiny amounts of evaporated liquid give false signals to the sensors?) Do you maybe know how long this usually takes until it's gone? Ah yes, there's another thing, before hard reset, I've installed few "repair screen" apps and also "fix damaged pixels apps"... They all showed some damaged pixels on upper part of screen "fixed" it, and somehow scanned whole lower, frozen area as completely healthy, working pixels! Are the apps of this sort even trustworthy? Or that is another good sign? Sorry for the wall of text, it's just because I know it's that kind of phone which usually doesn't have spare parts available😔. It's a Croatian phone a(read Chinese, essentially) and I'm from Croatia, so now imagine that even underthis condition it's hard to get a spare piece, it can be costy etc. And I think warranty doesn't cover liquid damage, does it? Sorry again for all the long narrative style. 🌼

Yeah i did notice while researching how to fully reset these tablets,that they do have slight differences in models,everything is the same its just back up modes on this particular model that is in Chinese with no simple option like a normal Android devices for factory reset or reboot

First thing,has it been wet,in bathroom around steam or dropping the phone. This may be first sign that it could be droplets in the internals of the screen. If not,do you have a screen protector? it maybe that its got a tiny piece of dirt stuck behind it. The advice there is to remove it, clean your screen thoroughly and then replace the screen protector. However, if you're suffering from more severe (i.e. actual) ghost touch problems, your options aren't quite as straightforward. Try deleting recently downloaded apps that you got before the problem occurred. Further to that I would start resetting the phone, guides are available for your make of phone on Google, if that doesn't work master reset the phone (data,pics,videos will be wiped so back them up) if all of this didn't do the trick, you may need to get a third-party to disconnect the screen from the data connectors,reseating it. Other than that my suggestion is it can only be the screen digitiser or a software problem.

My Kindle fire 8"9 has gone black screen! I have tried both restart methods with the power button & holding the volume down while holding the power at the same time, but still nothing. But when connect it to the PC with usb it the dinging noise like when it was running. If anyone has any tips on how to get it going again, Please help.

Bro I have lenovo m102gen there is problem, now-a-days my tabs touch screen is lagging and unresponsive , i at the some time if I power off and on it will come back to normal state and but after some time it will shows same problem , and.another issue is sometimes if I over use tablet i face ghost touch problem . I tried so many tricks but dint worked on it. Please give me a solution bro pls😢
