Hey sorry to bother.... Im in the same boat you were in... My friend tried to hook mine up to my LG smart tv also but it said that we need the tv code & the Bose setup code....I didnt know either... So my friend went online & went through the book of codes and there was no LG tvs listed...!!! Just wondering if you had to do that also... Any help would be appreciated.... Thank you...........

I just opened a 2010 brand new in the box Bose. My in law didn’t hook up the TV. Can only use the DVD and CD. He also didn’t set the clock. I hooked up a Bose before, and I’ll hook it up again. Thank you.

One of the problems I had was not being able to see settings on the TV screen when trying to assess, and your trick of plugging the yellow cable in both sides worked. Somehow....somewhere...somebody screwed up the settings. I fixed it and it now works. Thank you.

Thanks! I finally figured it out yesterday. I used optical audio out (I could have probably done with Red/white cable)and had to go to the TV menu and change the Audio to external speaker and Mode to PCM. Now everything is good to go:)

I do want to use the cd/dvd player on the bose but when I plug the yellow cable (like the one you used to get the video for the bose remote) into my yellow composite jack on the TV, my DVD's (I tried several different ones) show the picture in black and white only? Do you know what I am doing wrong? I tried a different Yellow cable as well with the same results

Hello, I had that problem when the new tv only had hdmi’s & composite. Audio red & white from tv av into bose media panel tv & yellow into composite video out. Then on bose settings for video scroll down composite. Should then work.

I have the BOSE Lifestyle V20 and I just can't figure out how to run my PC through it. It should just like hooking up TV right? I have high end gaming rig I built myself. I keep throwing cables at it hoping something will work. any ideas? great video by the way

I have a the older Cinemate series 1 with just the RCA cables. I purchased an analog/digital coverter with toslink cable but still cannot get it to work. Your video shows enabling it through the system menu but I do not have that option as its just the speakers and sub. Have you had any other users with older rca bose cinemate systems working with new digital tv?

me and my dad finally got the audio coming out of the tv to the bose box and speakers thanks. but we find the surround speakers arnt as loud as we want them. can i change the settings for them or no? PCM 2.0, is there a better 1 like PCM 3.0 or whatever it would be?

I got a Bose surround sound T20 . I can't get audio from the surround sound when I use the APPS such as netflix/pandora etc. I tried the AV cable as well as Digital Optical cable . I do get audio through the surround sound when I watch Cable tv.

Look at my Reply Above. Go to the TV menu (menu button on your TV return).Change Sound to External Speaker / and mode to PCM. Should Work like a breeze. I used a digital optical audio out cable from the TV to the Bose reciever...
