If I didn't already have the Sony GM II, I would pick this up. I do have the Tamron 35-150 as well, and it's noticably warm. Sometimes I feel too warm. But an easy adjustment in post.

How is the autofocus and sharpness of 35-150 tamron?
@SilatShooter11 ай бұрын
@@jaipalreddy4894 It feels like a Sony native lens. I've shot against my Sony primes including 50mm GM and it's super close. In a blind side by side, everyone is hard pressed to tell them apart. I now only use primes for when I want f1.4.

While using Tamron, what is the reason of warm yellow skin tone on the model as well as the presenter (while she brought her face close to the camera twice) ? Is it due to the lens solely? In that case do we need to adjust the White Balance while using the Tamron while doing portrait or fashion photography? Keen to know the reason in details which will help to make an informed decision.

Can you please advise, I can't make my mind between this lens the Tamron 70-180 g2 and the new Sony 70*200 F4 macro lens. I'm thinking to get the Sony but the F4 is making me hesitated as I do a lot portrait as well. But I like the idea of getting sony glass as it performs much better with Sony camera of course. How do you see it. Thanks so much for helping me out.🙏
@TVe20011 ай бұрын
I owned the first version, sold it and bought the Sony 70-200 f4 G2 macro. Tamron used to feel very cheap. Sony 70-200 can use TC's. That make the Sony G2 even closer to real macro (0.75 with 1.4x TC and 1:1 with 2x TC).

Should I Get Sony’s 135 1.8 or this one? A tough decision.
@rinderkappajoe11 ай бұрын
Did not try the 70-180 yet, but the 135 1.8 GM is one dream of a lens. You need to get used to the focal length but the images it produces are out of this world! When in doubt just buy it and be happy :-D
@hazard302011 ай бұрын
I would DEFINITELY try out a 135mm first before you buy one. Because you won't get many sharp shots at f1.8 (as opposed to at f4+) and the distance between you and a subject is unusual (when you are not used to it!!!) Happy Shopping and Testing.
@rinderkappajoe11 ай бұрын
Not many sharp shots at f1.8? you definitely did not try out Sony 135mm, this lens is sharp as hell at f1.8 (maybe even one of the sharpest lenses available). Of course the depth of field is pretty small when you are getting closer to your subject. But what is in focus will be sharp @@hazard3020
@tomirwinphoto10 ай бұрын
I'v got the 135 1.8 and the 70-180 2.8 G1. Although the 135 has more "magic" the 70-180 comes close and is MUCH more versatile and hence for my shooting style gets more use.

I don’t know what would make sense to buy - (sony a7 iii, zeiss 55 ,35 gm ) I have these. What would you do and why?
@hazard302011 ай бұрын
you don't need to do ANYTHING as you have great lenses !!! BUT if you EVER needed 85mm f2.8 or 105mm f2.8 or 135mm f2.8 - for Studio Use, Outside Wedding/Portrait Shoots or Sports - then just having ONE very good to excellent quality lens saves $$$$ and added weight.

Compare a7ii vs a7iv which one buy in 2024
@dennisthaddeus347211 ай бұрын
It's a no-brainer. A7IV beats A7II in all factors.
@Linealo11 ай бұрын
The A7ii has been out of favour even when the A7III arrived. Especially since in some deals you can get the A7III for a pretty good price (~1.2k USD) compared to some of the offerings of the A7ii even (sometimes ~1K with kit lens). From the A7III onwards you get better battery life, much better AF + tracking options, a newer (though not the newest) menu, built in intervelometer, a BSI sensor, deeper grip, different button layout on body (especially the joystick), a touch screen and much much much more. And those were mainly just the photo features. If you meant A7III Vs A7IV, I'd say it depends. If your primary goal is photo and photo only, the A7III is still very very good and the money you save can be invested in a better or secondary lens, which will get you a much bigger difference than the 24MP vs 33MP. But if you do video, want the flipscreen or prefer the new menus - or any other of the more incremental upgrades to the photo side - then there's few ways around the A7IV if it has to be Sony and FF.

Generally Sony 70-200 2.8 lenses are $1999+ (for information.) So you can see one difference between the excellent Tamron and excellent Sony GM/GM2 lenses immediately. And don't think that increase in Cost is due to "added quality" x
