Amen to that sister , i don't understand why it's not a hot topic with women sharing how to survive it or things to help it or whatever you can do to try to help others figure out what's happening to them ? It's definitely an endless topic for sure 😃 God bless Michelle Obama, that it's a blessing id certainly would like her reasons for calling it a blessing other than of course we're greatful to God almighty for everything ?

The problem is they don’t prevent anything when it come to women’s issues. You complain and complaint go unheard. I started peri menopause in my late 30’s. Hormonal imbalance started long before my thirty’s. They told me to take birth control to regulate my cycle. I hate they this happened to us because there are ways to check this rather than just throw m’édicte at the problem. Why does this happen so early or at all. If they can make m’en members get hard they should be able to offer better care and options.

I watch this video on replay multiple times. I cried 😢. I could not hold back the tears. Because I thought I was going crazy with all the changes. The different stages of the Menopause is staggering. The extreme heat 🥵. Extreme cold 🥶. Waking up in the middle of the night. Sitting at my desk working and needing a small fan on the floor blowing between my legs to keep me cool. Traveling with extra underwear 🩲 to change in the middle of the day. I send this video to my husband, because I don’t think he understands, although he tries to 🥹🥹. It’s a depressing time for me right now. I can’t stand what is happening. Menopause! What paused 😵‍💫🥵🥶🥹🫣🤯😰

I'm so glad to hear that. We all deserve to feel heard by our practitioners. I fired a doc for that reason myself. Then went to a Center for Holistic medicine, run by some local Md's + finally started getting answers. They did a complete blood panel of my hormones to find my deficiencies. I was treated with natural supplements to support my hormones + find out why it was hard for me to get up + why I had monthly cramps (no, it's not supposed to happen). Improvements soon followed. I had to pay cash for their services. Health insurance doesn't always cover them bcuz they spend more time with you than insurance wants to allow but they're pretty thorough I learned that you get what you pay for even in a docs office :‐( It was a rude awakening but it started my quest for answers ... still going strong. I say search for functional or holistic medicine docs who are TRAINED to look for the root cause of problems. It will be money well spent. Theres a book called "The Miracle of Natural Hormones" by Dr.Brownstein, also check out Dr Berg on KZbin, he gives a lot of free + simple info on nearly all health problems. Best wishes to all ♥

I got menopause right after my 42 birthday that's when I had my last period. 2 months later I started experience the purgatory of the menopause symptoms so I went and got my estrogen tested oncr your estrogen is low in other words GONE yupp you in full blown menopause. The first 4 yrs were brutal and thank God I love reading I came across an article cannabis and menopause turns out weed helps a lot with irritability, mood swings even with hot flashes you get less. I tried everything from menopause cream to put on your bellybutton and behind your knees nothing worked my doctor wanted to put me on menopause pills I didn't want to take Those. those pills are not good for us. I gave weed a try and I'm telling you it saved me. Then I read whoopi Goldberg sells cannabis to help woman with menopause.

If I knew menopause was going to be so good I would have asked the doctors to please put me in menopause rather than go through those terrible mood swings, bloating during having my period. It’s sad that women see menopause as becoming unattractive. I remember having nausea from strong hot flashes while at a brand new job and stepping out of a meeting several times. When a young woman asked me what was wrong and I told her, she was incredulous and said “but you look so beautiful”. I was amazed at the misconception that you become old and unattractive. It’s time for women to appreciate every phase of their life as sacred.

Am I the only one? The first thing my Dr. wanted to do when I told her I was having symptoms of menopause was to ask me if I was depressed and to suggest depression meds! I tried explain to her that I wasn't depressed or sad, that I was having hair thinning, weight gain, adult acne, hot flashes and my head was in the clouds. Why on earth would a Dr. first suggest depression meds for menopause? I changed my symptoms on my own by researching and learning about menopause and what worked best for me. I stopped sugar (which caused my hot flashes to get worse), added Vitamin B Complex, Fish Oil, Iron and Zinc to my daily regimen and lots of Tofu. Not sure it would work for everyone, but it has certainly helped me. My whole journey was from 49-55, I'm now 57 and today I feel like a million bucks!

This is a topic that need to be in the front pages of the newspaper. I began menopause at 56 I had no idea in my 40's that I was dealing with perimenopause even my Gyn doctor never prepared me for it. The forgetfulness, extreme tiredness two week before my period started, and memory fog was a big issue!! All of these symptoms faded when I got in my early 50's, but omg the heart palpitations, and blood pressure rising whenever I had hot flashes is something else I was so scared whenever it happened until I began tracking when my pressure would rise, and it was when I had hot flashes II do have high blood pressure, but not that high thank the LORD it's under control now, and if it wasn't for hot flashes my blood pressure would be normal. perimenopause, and menopause affects us all differently, and I would love to be in a support group. I am much better than I was last year I am now 58, but it would be nice to be connected to others to support one another. I was even having very bad dreams for a while which all began after I started having hot flashes. The hot flashes was never a problem, and I never had night sweats, but whenever I would started having hot flashes I would have bad dreams. WHERE DO I SIGN UP FOR MENOPAUSE SUPPORT LOL!!! All jokes aside we need to be more informed especially by our doctors who ever talk about this.

It is because a lot of this comes from hormonal imbalances due to diets with too much estrogenic ingredients and cytotoxins. All foods that are not organic and from the earth are causing the body to try to struggle and align itself to a state of homeostasis. Thank you for this topic. I began menopause at the age of 34 and was not knowledgeable of what to expect. It has been rough and confusing. I’m glad this was discussed on Tamron show.

I wish on their big board list they could have included heart palpitations, joint pain, anxiety, high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, insulin resistance, sleep disturbances, sighing a lot, allergies, skin issues including rashes, urinary tract infections, articulation issues, hair loss, reduced or loss of ambition, dry eyes, night glare issues, irregular hair gross in odd areas of the body, smell and taste changes, gird - the list goes on and on. Thank you Tam fam for showcasing menopause. The more we talk about it the more help women can hopefully get.

I started menopause at 32. I would go to the grocery store, get to the check out, and drop to the floor. It was bad. I am now 50. It appears I get them in the summer. It happens during the night, not day. They were much worse at 32. Thank God, the flashes are never that bad.

I feel ya..I just turned 50! I think I'm in the beginning stages...but still having these on and off bleeding spurts. Its irritating not knowing if I'm going to come on this month or not. I now have to carry pads and tampons just in case I have an episode. I was having hot flashes in October and missed my period and I was so EXCITED thinking this is it! Then around Thanksgiving started bleeding again...I was confused and pissed! I wish we would have more discussions about this in the black community! MENOPAUSE PLEASE COME FORTH! 🙄🥺😒

We need to destigmatised talking about menopause. Perimenopause needs to be spoken about as well. This needs to be taught at school and should be mandatory when training as a dr. It’s not just physical symptoms but also cognitive and psychological too. And everyone’s journey is different. There are more than 9 symptoms and hot flushes/flashes is not the only one symptom.

Timely episode - I've been talking about this topic with my girlfriends a lot lately! One important thing to note is we define menopause as starting when we haven't had a menstrual cycle for at least 12 months. However, many people (much more than 1%, I would say the majority of women), have menopausal symptoms (or perimenopause) starting as early as late 30s. In fact, some of these symptoms (i.e., migranes) are said to improve once you actually do go into menopause. Perimenopause needs to be talked about SO much more - there are so many symptoms! You have no idea what's happening and feel crazy, it would help women tremendously to be able to name what's going on. *Hormone Repair Manual is a great book for this conversation.

Menopause and P.C.O.S. are 2 Major Female Disgnosis that are not spoken about enough. Nor the fact there is no cure for P.C.O.S. and medical insurance companies do not cover Vaniqa or procedures to help females cope, deal with and have better quality of life ,being diagnosed with this. It's sad.

I started at 10 years old my periods was awful I couldn’t go to school 1998 I had to have a hysterectomy because I had endometriosis fibroid tumors. I had a miscarriage because the Fibroids tumors covered my babies bag and I am going to crazy menopause right now. Your body just does what it want to do ..I am so glad you put this on there because now I can go to my doctor and talk to her in the language that she understands. I am 64 today and I feel crazy like Beverly said you’re not yourself and I was waiting on Beverly. Tell us what she did to find her level.I have had breast cancer 2015 please talk about this more…!!!! Went to the doctor last week. How a urinary track infection? The first one, and I was wonder where it came from. She gave me all these excuses on how I got it. 9:34

I got menopause early once I had my last period I knew it was coming I was ok for 2 months after my last period then it hit me bad it was horrible I started keeping a journal of everything I was feeling and keeping track of the hot flashes then at night cold sweats. From the time I woke up at 6 am through 1 pm I had 11 hot flashes already so imagine how many I got through out the day. I went and got tested and yupp my estrogen levels were low AF My doctor told me that because I had my period at 10 yrs old that's why I got menopause early and also a woman's blood type plays a roll. I'm Type O Negative All I have to say our children and partner needs to be educated when a woman is going through this. menopause has caused divorces woman are misunderstood. I must say I tried everything in my power to feel relief Educated my self by reading And you will find oh don't take caffeine, don't drink, don't smoke, don't eat spicy food lmao well I don't drink never smoked cigarettes and don't eat spicy. I only drink coffee in the morning and that's it. And still I was miserable. The doctor wanted to give me medication they give woman on menopause, I said no thank you I'm not taking that those pills make woman worse with the side effects. So one day I was reading and came across an article called Cannabis and menopause And their were over 600 comments from woman. Well turns out to be that cannabis is what help many woman. With irritability, mood swings and lower hot flashes. I talk to a friend of mine she's always smoked Weed, well she brought me some and I'll tell you right now it saved me. If it wasn't for cannabis who knows how bad depression would of been. Going on 10 yrs with menopause the first 4 yrs are brutal. Anyone out there suffering with menopause try some cannabis it helped me so much and I was able to be around my family and enjoy outings without that elephant on my back. And I also read for yrs whoopi Goldberg has sold cannabis stuff to help woman with menopause.

I took Lupron shots 2 different times for endometriosis in my 20’s & the hot flashes never went away. I ultimately ended up having a hysterectomy at 32 after multiple other surgeries. They need to stop prescribing Lupron because the side effects are horrible & long lasting (hot flashes & mood swings being the worst). 😔
