She went through hell. If course, she would try to move on. I would too! What happened was horrible but I wouldn't want it to rule me life forever. Unfortunately, that will never quite happen with her; it will always follow her, so she can only do her best to live her life. Yes, that includes having a family. She was quite excited about her kids. Very far from emotionless.

Yes, her family hired a company to help combat all the false lies and misinformation being reported about her in the media. Shame on them for that! How dare they not challenge completely false headlines like "I Fired Foxy Knox" (Daily Mail, Nov 25, 2007) , " Foxy Knoxy Caught on CCTV Tape" (Daily Mail, 12 Nov. 2007), and "Chilling pictures of Meredith murder scene reveal apartment bloodbath horror" (Daily Mail, 16 Jan, 2008) ! Totally false stories permeated the media, stories that included such lies as "Amanda Knox made at least two calls to his [Rudy Guede's] number, one of them at 11am on 2 November, around the time police discovered Kercher's body." (The Independent, 20 November 2007) and "The arrest warrant for Amanda Knox, 20, discloses that her print was discovered on the face of Meredith Kercher, who was found in her bed with her throat cut, a respected Italian newspaper claims." (The Telegraph, 09 Nov. 2007) and "Investigator Giuliano Mignini claimed a bloody fingerprint belonging to Amanda Knox had been found on a bathroom tap." (Nov. 27, 2007) and "She is reported to have written: “I think it is possible Raffaele went to Meredith’s house, raped her, then killed her and then when he got home, while I was sleeping, he pressed my fingerprints on the knife.” (BBC News, 23 November 2010) Yep, shame on her family for hiring a company to help expose the lies being presented as facts about their daughter! @LevDavid - how many times does Amanda have to explain that she was coerced by the police into accusing him? They already suspected him because of a text to him they found on Amanda’s phone (they wouldn’t allow her to call her mother btw). She hadn’t slept much in the past few days, the police had yelled at her and told her she’d go to prison for 30 years if they didn’t tell her who the killer was. One officer even hit her, twice! She has referred to the interrogation as the worst night of her life because she felt like she had gone insane and couldn’t distinguish fantasy from reality.

How did she know Meredith had her throat slit i.e. she admitted this to Meredith's friends & her flatmates when the police didn't even know the cause of death. Plus she admitted in the first trail no kitchen utensils had been taken too or from her house to her boyfriends, in order words, how did the victims (Meredith) & your DNA ned up on the exact same knife? She must have changed her story over 10 times about where she was on the night of the murder but her telephone & laptop records say otherwise. her blood along with the victim on taps, light switches, the bidet etc etc Plus the hard driver in hers & her boyfriend's laptop were removed from the actual laptop-bizarre. @@tonywelsh3709 1) "How did she know Meredith had her throat slit?" She knew because Luca Altieri (who had broken down Meredith's door) told her when he was driving Raffaele and her to the police station later that afternoon per his sworn deposition: "Altieri: Yes, yes, yes, after a while, you know, after the Red Cross car arrived, the Scientific Police and the Carabinieri arrived, all of them, after a while one of the two medics, I believe, the driver of the Red Cross, it wasn’t an ambulance, he came out of the crime scene, let’s say, from inside the house, speaking to one of the Carabinieri that was there outside and he described a bit about what had happened, saying… referring to the both the fact the her throat had been cut and that she had also fought back, let’s say, and from this I understood this thing. Mignini: OK, do you remembe if Sollecito spoke to you in the Police Station, did he speak of this fact? What did he say to you? Altieri: Look, the only exchange of words was while we were going to the Police station in the car, let’s say, where he asked me if she was dead. I was a bit shocked at the question, I responded “yes”. And then after he asked me, if I remember correctly, how she died, something of this sort, and so I explained to him this thing that I’d heard outside." 2) "Plus she admitted in the first trail no kitchen utensils had been taken too or from her house to her boyfriends, in order words, how did the victims (Meredith) & your DNA ned up on the exact same knife? " Meredith's DNA was NOT on the knife per the findings of the independent, court appointed forensic experts, Carla Vecchiotti and Stefano Conti: "Taking into account that none of the recommendations of the international scientific community relative to the treatment of Low Copy Number (LCN) samples were followed, we do not accept the conclusions regarding the certain attribution of the profile found on trace B (blade of knife) to the victim Meredith Susanna Cara Kercher, since the genetic profile, as obtained, appears unreliable insofar as it is not supported by scientifically validated analysis;" 3) "She must have changed her story over 10 times about where she was on the night of the murder but her telephone & laptop records say otherwise." False. The phone records show her calls were handled by the cell phone towers that covered Sollecito's apartment per the report of the telecommunications expert, Filippo Bartolozzi. "20:18:12 Patrick Lumumba sends a text message to Amanda saying she wasn’t needed at work. Cell Via dell’Aquila 5-Torre dell’Acquedotto sector 3. Cell tower covers Raffaele’s apartment (See notes below). Amanda and Raffaele are watching Amelie [129min]. 20:35:48 Amanda responds with a text message to Lumumba. The message is “Certo. Ci vediamo più tardi. Buona serata” [Sure, See you later on. Have a good evening] Cell Via Berardi sector 7" The Massei Report specifically says that those cell towers covered RS's apartment: "1. The area around the defendant’s home was reached by a very strong signal radiated from the Via Berardi sector 7 cell, indicated as being the ‚best server cell‛ with regard to Sollecito’s house; furthermore the signals of other cells are also powerful, respectively that with a pylon in Piazza Lupattelli sector 8 and that with a pylon in Via dell’Acquilla-Torre dell’Acquedotto sectors 3 and 9."

When Guede was convicted in 2008, Knox and Sollecito had not even been tried yet. Guede's conviction says he did not actually wield the knife. Why? Because at that time, Kercher's alleged DNA on the alleged murder knife and the knife as the murder weapon had not been discredited as both were in 2011 and confirmed by the Supreme Court in 2015. In 2009, the prosecution was accusing Knox of being the killer because they claimed Kercher's DNA was on the kitchen knife which is why Guede was said not to have actually killed Kercher. But they never explained who wielded the knife that left its imprint in blood on the bed and which was never found. When Guede's sentence was confirmed in 2010 by the Giordano SC, it became a 'judicial fact' that he did not wield the knife and that someone else did. That is written in stone and cannot be overruled even by another Supreme Court. But Knox was definitively acquitted in 2015 by the Marasca SC that stated if there were others involved, they were NOT Knox or Sollecito. So legally, Guede didn't stab Kercher, but who did remains unknown. However, since there is absolutely no forensic evidence of anyone in Kercher's bedroom other than Guede, that "judicial fact" is in direct conflict with the science.

@@Matsoni85 You said "I genuinely believe Amanda started as a not so interesting person, but she spoke her way into the investigation." Amanda was interrogated for 53 hours in total between 2nd and the 6th November. The questioning startered on the 2nd November, only hours after Meredith's body was found. You said "The other co-tenants believe she acted very shady and strange in that time period" They never said anything remotely like that in court. You said "Did you read the email she sent home the 4th. Basically a defense letter sent before the Police had any interesert." Amanda was already being questioned along with others by police by that time. You said "I also believe the DNA nails Sollecito to the bra clasp. There is DNA trough contamination and there is DNA trough direct contact." You can say what you like about the bra-clasp. The Italian Supreme Court referred to the court appointed experts and threw it out, citing probable contamination issues and the failure to follow correct protocols in testing the item. No negative controls were carried out on the bra-clasp so we will never know if the DNA was actually on the clasp or equipment contamination. The clasp was deliberately destroyed as evidence by prosecution darling Stefanoni who stored it in extraction buffer fluid allowing the hooks to rust.

When she asked at the station if Meredith was dead (she hadn’t seen her body) an officer nodded and moved his finger across his throat. I’m sure word had gotten around amongst the police that Meredith’s throat had been cut. He probably didn’t mean to give anything away; he might have thought that, because Italian wasn’t Amanda’s first language, he needed to use gestures to make himself understood. I don’t believe Meredith’s blood was on the knife. Amanda has said she’d been slicing a tomato, and it was probably with that particular knife because the officer who collected it remembered it had looked like it had just been washed. The substance on the blade for so minuscule that it couldn’t be tested twice. False positives are common when samples are that small. She also says in her book that the laptop hard drives were damaged in police custody. Convenient, she says, because the photos she’d taken of herself and Meredith were on them. I know that at least two witness testimonies were compromised. The shop owner said he say Amanda buying bleach while wearing a gray coat. He’d probably seen her wearing the coat on TV when they showed her kissing Raffaele. The homeless man who said he saw them the night of the murder was an acquaintance of the prosecutor - and during his testimony, the prosecutor got him to backtrack something he’d said that was bad for their case.

@@TheWchurchill4pm Thanks for reminding me of the incident with the throat-cutting gesture, though both Raffaele and Amanda had already learned of Meredith's fate from Luca Alteiri and Paolo Grande before they even got to the questura. Here is their testimonies: Altieri: Yes, yes, yes, after a while, here, after a red cross vehicle had arrived, the scientific, the Carabinieri arrived, all of them, after a while one of the two doctors, I think, of this red cross vehicle, it was not an ambulance, he came out from the inspection, let's say, inside the house, addressing one of the Carabinieri who was out there he described a bit what had happened, saying ... referring both to the fact that her throat was cut and the fact that she had also fought, let's say, and so from there I learned this. GM: she learned it, do you know if the others knew it too? In particular... Altieri: Yes, there was Paola next to me who heard it. From Paolo Grande's court testimony: "No, I saw them for a minute as soon as we arrived that Marco and Filomena told him, a little in Italian a little in English, to say everything, to say everything they remembered to be calm, to tell what they remembered and enough. More than anything else in the car trip I remember that Raffaele asked Luca if she was dead, he said yes and how she was dead and Luca told him that it had been slaughtered because ... I don't know how Luca knew it, but I I knew it because when the ambulance arrived, a gentleman came in and when he came out he didn't talk to us, but I heard him, who said how she was killed." When Raffaele asked if Meredith had been cut with a knife, he was told by Luca "no with a loaf of bread" according to Honor Bound. There was no blood on the knife.. Fact! 36b was tested with TMB which came back negative for blood. No only that the knife was negative for cellular material and even came back negative for human species according to the court appointed experts (Conti-Vecchiotti). Agreed! Quintavalle's testimony was rubbished by the supreme court since he, as well as ear-witnesses Dramis and Monachia came forward a full YEAR after the murder at the prompting of the same reporter. The supreme court rule out any hypothesis of a clean-up in multiple occasions in the motivation report for good reasons. There was no comment of any smell of cleaning materials amongst the many people who were at the cottage before Meredith's body was found. There is no mention of the existing cleaning materials being exhausted or the need to buy more. It's all nonsense. None of this will penetrate through to Tony in any case. He'll just repeat the same old lies elsewhere. He'll just go "on and on" and ....yawn!

Did you know that the 1.45 statement implicating Patrick Lumumba was originated and typed up by the cops? No handwritten original from Amanda exists. The real truth about Lumumba is that the cops had no reason to hold him probably beyond the 6th of November and certainly by the 8th when Lumumba was ordered to be detained along with Amanda and Raffaele. Amanda had retracted her compliance with the 1.45 statement on the 7th and it would have clear that the DNA from the cheek swabs taken from Lumumba did not match the DNA from the "unknown male" found in Meredith's vagina. So regardless of whoever the "unknown male was it certainly wasn't Lumumba. The cops should have released him at that point and regarded Amanda's retraction of her compliance with the cops 1.45 witness testimony as valid. The fact that the cops let him languish in the cells for two weeks needs their explanation NOT Amanda's, nor anyone else's for that matter.

The mandatory audio-visual recordings were either not complied with or never released. I can only refer you again to the current ongoing legal proceedings that resulted from the ECHR judgement. Italy has already paid Amanda compensation for gross human rights violations. They also violated their own domestic laws in convicting Amanda of calunnia (slander of Lumumba). If the calunnia conviction is quashed it may allow Lumumba the opportunity to sue Italy for wrongful imprisonment. That's the current state of play. That is the logical foundation to solve the case. I've also already told you that section 8.1. of the motivation report details the judicial AND actual fact that there was absolutely no evidence of K&S in the room, when there should have been traces at least equal to that of Rudy. That was the "insurmountable monolithic barrier" according to M/B, in a case that was DNA driven from the start. As previously said, you continue to assert guilt as a default position while offering no sustainable evidence to back it up. In order to believe that Knox and Sollecito are innocent, you have to overlook the following: Knox's accusation against her employer, a claim she made after less than TWO HOURS of being interviewed (not 40, like Team Knox would have you believe - this is a proven fact) and stuck to for 3 weeks, letting her innocent boss rot in jail all the while. The fact that Meredith Kercher’s blood was found mixed inside Knox’s fresh DNA in 5 different spots in the bathroom. The fact the Knox was bleeding on the day of the murder, and left blood smeared in the bathroom, blood which she herself admits was not there the day before. Sollecito’s DNA on Meredith’s bra clasp - with a 16 loci match, the probability that the DNA belongs to someone else is one in a trillion, and with only ONE other DNA trace of him in the cottage (cigarette butt) the idea of contamination is near impossible. Knox’s DNA on the handle of the murder weapon and Meredith’s on the blade. Sollectio tried to explain this by saying he had accidentally pricked Meredith with his knife while she had been at his house. She had never been there. The THREE sets of bloody footprints, one a match for Guede, one a match for Sollecito, and one in Knox’s size, in her own DNA, mixed with Meredith’s. The single bloody footprint on the bathmat, which is a perfect match for Sollecito, and also, being the only bloody footprint with no others around it, is undisputed proof a clean up happened. The blatantly staged crime scene, with glass on TOP of the clothes strewn around, a near impossible window entry point, and not a single trace of Guede anywhere in that room, not to mention the fact Knox and Sollecito ‘knew’ nothing had been taken before anyone had even looked. The fact that Guede’s footprints lead right out Meredith’s room out the front door and he has an alibi for the rest of the night, meaning we KNOW it wasn’t Guede who returned to the scene hours later, staged a burglary, cleaned up and moved the body. The fact that Knox’s lamp was found in Meredith’s room with no fingerprints whatsoever - more proof of a clean up. The incredible amount of changes in her account before, during, and after she was arrested. Total lack of alibi after multiple attempts, and then Sollecito withdrawing his alibi for her. Her dubious account of her activity the morning after the murder, including her lies about Meredith’s locked door, her reaction to the blood, and the contradictions to this she makes in her testimony, email home, and in her book. The fact Knox knew several details about her murder she could not possibly have known: cause of death, position of body, that there had been more than one attacker, that Meredith had been assaulted etc. The frantic call she made to her mother in the middle of the night that she ‘forgets’ making. The witness who saw her and Sollecito by the cottage on the murder night. The shopkeeper who saw her when she claimed to be in her bed sleeping. Her overall behaviour after the murder. And I can go on, and on, and on. My point is that, whatever opinion people have as to their guilty or innocence, there is enough evidence to convict, and however many times those claims of “no evidence" are repeated, it doesn't make it true.

Yes, this became a political issue. There are as you've pointed out evidence of Knox's guilt. If they, from an international perspective would be enough for a fair prosecution and a verdict leading to a sentence of more than 20 years as was the case in the first Italian trial is a question that could be discussed at length. Anyway, nothing seems to point away from Knox, who by all definitions must be described as a psychopath, who cares about no-one but herself. I'm tired of listening to her lies. Let's discuss your misinformation and outright false statements: "1) Amanda and her 7 days old boyfriend were drug addicts. " Knox's and Sollecito's hair was ordered tested for narcotics upon their arrest on Nov. 6, 2007. Unlike urine and blood, hair never loses its trace of narcotics. Both tested negative for narcotics. Your claim is 100% false. "2a) She belonged to a broken family" So did Meredith. What's your point? Children of divorced parents are psycho killers? "2b)and behaved extremely strange at the police station by doing yoga when her friend was murdered and she was being interrogated." She wasn't doing yoga while being interrogated. She did it while waiting for her boyfriend while HE was being interrogated. Yep, doing yoga is the sure sign of a killer... as I note your own username! "3a) She had found her Italian boyfriend within weeks after reaching Italy... Meredith was also sleeping with an Italian guy, Giacomo Silenzi, who lived in the downstairs apartment within weeks after arriving in Italy. Does that make her a slut in your mind, too? "3b) and was suspected to be a sex addict..." No: She was being slut-shamed for doing what lots of college girls and guys do. But it's usually only the girls who get slut-shamed by people as you're doing. "3c)... and was suspected to have had sex with multiple guys." So what if she did? What does her sex life have to do with murder? But to put facts straight, she had sex with 3 guys in Italy, two of them only one time. "4) She changed her sentences and kept giving different versions of what happened making everyone wonder whats the truth.." No, she didn't. Her account before and after the illegal and coercive interrogation of Nov. 5/6 was the same. Saul Kassin, the foremost expert on false confessions, has studied her statements and concluded they were the result of a coerced interrogation: "coerced-internalized false confessions are statements made by an innocent but vulnerable person who, as a result of exposure to highly suggestive and misleading interrogation tactics, comes to believe that he or she may have committed the crime--a belief that is sometimes supplemented by false memories." KASSIN: ""This case horrifies me. I'd like to say it shocks me. But I've seen others like it," said psychologist and professor Saul Kassin, an expert on police interrogations. On his own initiative, Kassin filed a report with the Italian court on Amanda's behalf. It outlines some of the psychological reasons why Amanda could have confessed to a murder she did not commit." "I believe Amanda's confession is false. I believe Amanda is innocent," Kassin said. "If she was there...wouldn't she have known that Patrick wasn't there? Wouldn't she have known that Rudy was there? The reason she didn't know those things is that she wasn't there." (Amanda Knox: The untold story 48-hours OCTOBER 11, 2011 / 3:33 PM EDT / CBS NEWS) She retracted her statements within 24 hours. "5) The thief still says that he is innocent and blames Amanda .. " The "thief"? You mean the definitively convicted MURDERER, Rudy Guede, who has recently been arrested again for raping and beating up his ex-partner. "6) Amanda DID NOT behave empathetically or like a normal person who would grieve over a death of a roommate. She did have all the ingredients that would make her a suspect brcause of het Psychopathic personality." Thank you for your professional opinion, Doctor. So where did you get your degree in psychology or psychiatry? The University of KZbin? "TO TOP IT ALL , SHE LIED... She lied by putting the blame on her empliyer, bar owner who was ,100% innocent.. She was a liar for sure if not a murderer as she tried to defame and put the blame on her 100% innocent employer." I refer you back to my response to your #4 comment.

Amanda reminds me of Madeleine MacCann’s parents. They were also suspects at a time, the UK media got involved and the UK government also, to frame the Portuguese police as inadequate. Yet, the parents always talk about themselves, what they went through, NEVER their little girl. Amanda strikes me to be similar, always talking about herself, not what Meredith must have gone through… I find it strange that she seeks the limelight and uses her miscarriage for the same end. Chrissy Teigen and Meghan Markle - two well-known narcissists have done the same with almost the exact same argument! It’s just odd that Amanda finds the most tragic, heart-wrenching experiences ‘rewarding’ and what she has ‘benefitted from’. Just very odd choice of words with her…

(1) In January of 2019 the European Court of human rights concluded that Amanda's human rights had been violated during her interrogation in 2 out of the 3 complaints that were evaluated. These included the failure to provide legal assistance, and the right to a fair and unbiased interpreter, that "undermined the fairness of the proceedings as a whole." This will affect Amanda's conviction of allegedly slandering Patrick Lumumba (calunnia), that Italy must redress to a point before the violations took place, which totally undermines the calunnia conviction. Italy also broke their own domestic laws in finalising the calunnia conviction. Italy has already partially complied with the judgement by paying Amanda's due compensation. At the moment Italy's action plan to resolve the calunnia is expected by the ECHR committee of Ministers. (2) Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were definitively acquitted of the murder of Meredith Kercher on On March 27, 2015 according to CPP Article 530 section 2 (acquittal) and provides the specification ("rubrica"): "per non avere i ricorrenti commesso il fatto" ("because the appellants have not committed the act") which exonerates them. The decision is final and unappealable. (3) It was considered a judicial fact that there were multiple attackers involved in the death of Meredith although only one of the seven experts who testified in court confirmed multiple attackers theory, even Dr Lalli who carried out the autopsy would not endorse the multiple attackers theory (See Massei report). Professor Norelli was the only one who argued for multiple attacker, he represented the Kercher family. (4) Rudy Guede is the only one convicted of the Murder of Meredith. Up to 14 biological traces identifying him were found in the room where Meredith was killed, while there was absolutely none for Amanda and Raffaele, nor anyone else for that matter (see Marasca-Bruno motivation report). (5) The theory of a staged break-in was crucial to the prosecutions case and considered to be a judicial fact; however, In 2015 charge (E), (as part of the murder acquittal) of simulating a break-in against Amanda and Raffaele was also annulled (the appellants did not commit the act), leaving no-one to have committed the act. (see Marasca-Bruno motivation report). (6) Earlier in the year 2007 Rudy's adoptive family (Caporalli) kicked him out because he couldn't do a day's work and was a persistent liar. (7) On October 17 2007 Rudy broke into the law premises of partners Brocchi and Palazzoli. He had disabled the alarm which would have taken some expertise, used the photocopier, then left files strewn all over the office. One of the partners Palazzoli noted that reams of paper were missing. (8) On 27th October 2007 Rudy was found having illegally entered a children's nursery in Milan, he had stolen petty cash and a kitchen knife from the premises. On his possession he had items from previous burglaries including a small hammer for breaking toughened glass, and a laptop that had been stolen from the Palazzoli-Brocchi law office in Perugia. (9) Rudy clammed up after being detained in Milan for illegally entering the nursery. A decision was taken at the Questura in Perugia advising the police in Milan to release Rudy and send him back to Perugia where no further action was taken against him. It has never been ascertained who made the decision. (10) The break-in at the cottage that Meredith and Amanda shared with two other students shared the same characteristics as the break-in at the Palazzoli-Brocchi office. On November 1st, the burglar (Rudy Guede), had climbed up using the protective grille that covered the downstairs window to gain access through the window above after using a rock to break the window. Both break-ins shared the same alleged anomaly of glass on top of clothing (see Massei report page 47). (11) Both Laura and Filomena testified in court that they had witnessed no ill-feeling between Amanda and Meredith. Marco Zaroli agreed that the relationship was "idyllic" while Meredith's boyfriend Giacomo Silenzi stated that the relationship was "tranquil between the two". (12) The Office of the Prosecuting Magistrate is responsible for the prosecution of crimes, he would be the one who ultimately decides whether detainees should be prosecuted or not. If Rudy had been arrested and charged in Perugia for his previous burglaries and taken off the streets, it is very likely that Meredith Kercher would be alive today. (13) With the worlds attention focused on the case it is clear that the Prosecuting magistrate as well as the police were in the crucible. Their protection of Rudy had now become a toxic liability to them. If it came to light that Rudy Guede was the assassin and that he had acted alone it would have resulted in international scandal and national disgrace for Italy with careers and reputations ruined. Amanda Knox and Raffaele were framed to cover-up for the criminal activities of the prosecuting Magistrate and police who had failed in their duty.

There is more evidence -- both DNA and non-DNA -- that supports Rudy's version of events more than it does either Raffaele's or Amanda's, both of whom lied throughout the entire investigation and court preceedings (and, of course, to this day). The DNA evidence alone -- even assuming all of the other mountain of evidence against her was just a co-incidence -- was enough to convict her. As to the European's court's verdict about the violation of her rights, well, that can certainly mean her confession during the interrogation may be tossed out, but does it apply to her non-solicited written confession he voluntarily gave the police hours AFTER the first confession?

I don't think she killed her roomate but she's definitely not an innocent bystander. Prosecution wrongfully accused her of murder and she definitely had an unfair treatment. However, the authorities had a reason to think she was involved that I'll explain below. She had no solid aliby and both her and boyfriend were constantly changing and contradicting each other. Her boyfriend even admitted that he lied during his interrogation... There's legitimate proof that the murder scene was partially cleaned. (luminol footprints matching Amanda foot size and SHAPE in the hallway but more importantly lack of other bloody footprints in the bathroom except for Rudy's one imprinted on the bath mat). But there's was another luminol stain with Amanda's DNA and Meredith's blood mixed together in their roommate's room...The same room where the break-in supposedly occured. The room was ransacked but nothing of value was stolen and the broken glass was on top of the roommate's belongings. The chance of having both of their DNA mixed together and the presence of Meredith's blood in their roommate's room is rather low/near impossible. Therefore proving Amanda staged the break-in. These are concrete facts but unfortunately doesn't prove that she committed murder. That's why she was acquitted but that doesn't mean she wasn't involved.

Yo knucklehead, perhaps you haven't heard the ECHR ruled the interrogation violated her rights and therefore the statements which came from it are nullified. Ergo, the calunia charge has no basis and when Italy finally gets around to responding to the ECHR on how it will resolve this I would expect the calunia conviction to be overturned and the charge dismissed. As for the acquittal, perhaps you should contact Italian authorities if you think the Supreme Court did something illegal in acquitting Amanda and Raffaele. On March 27, 2015, the ultimate appeal by Knox and Sollecito was heard by the Supreme Court of Cassation; it ruled that the case was without foundation, thereby definitively acquitting them of the murder. Her defamation conviction was upheld but the three-year sentence was deemed served by the time she had already spent in prison.[72][137][138][139] Rather than merely declaring that there were errors in the earlier court cases or that there was not enough evidence to convict, the court ruled that Knox and Sollecito were innocent of involvement in the murder.[140] On September 7, 2015, the Court published the report on the acquittal, citing "glaring errors", "investigative amnesia", and "guilty omissions", where a five-judge panel said that the prosecutors who won the original murder conviction failed to prove a "whole truth" to back up the scenario that Knox and Sollecito killed Kercher.[141] They also stated that there were "sensational failures" (clamorose defaillance) in the investigation, and that the lower court had been guilty of "culpable omissions" (colpevoli omissioni) in ignoring expert testimony that demonstrated contamination of evidence.[142] The delegate supreme judge, court adviser Gennaro Marasca, made public the reasons of absolution. First, none of the evidence demonstrated that either Knox or Sollecito was present at the crime scene. Second, they cannot have "materially participated in the homicide", since absolutely no "biological traces ... could be attributed to them in the room of the murder or on the body of the victim, where in contrast numerous traces were found attributable to Guede".

There would have been stronger evidence at the crime scene if she was guilty of murder. Its more plausible that she was involved post crime of clean up, staged breakin, etc..the prosecution should have tried her for accomplice or some such else not murder directly and I'm quite sure the supreme court would have nailed her and her bf at the time for that..instead, the prosecution went after her for murder in cold blood, and there was no smoking gun evidence to support that.

The mixed DNA evidence alone was enough to convict her. And of course there is a mountain of evidence against her at every twist and turn of this case. But forget the overwhelming evidence against her. Even assuming all of that evidence was coincidental, Amanda still stands guilty of the crime of calumnia, which is the Italian crime of slandering an innocent person. Amanda told the police that an innocent person -- Patrick Lumumba -- did the crime and he rotted in prison for two weeks until an air tight alibi surfaced for him. When the first court of appeal reversed her guilty verdict it also declared that the four years she spent in prison was deemed time served for this crime. If Patrick's alibi didn't surface, he would still be rotting in prison today. But even forget all that. The family of Meredith Kercher -- the victim -- have pleaded with Amanda for the past 10 years to, please, not talk about the case and appear in public because of the pain she causes them. No, Amanda has never met a microphone or camera she doesn't like. She purposely puts herself forward in the public eye and continues, at every opportunity, to cause the Kercher family pain.
@treaclebuns
@treaclebuns 3 жыл бұрын
You said "The mixed DNA evidence alone was enough to convict her." The DNA evidence against her doesn't exist except in your hallucinogenic mindset. See section 8.1. of Marasca-Bruno. You said "But forget the overwhelming evidence against her" Yet you provide no such evidence for anyone to forget. The real truth about Lumumba is that the cops had no reason to hold him probably beyond the 6th of November and certainly by the 8th. Amanda had retracted her witness testimony on the 7th and it would have clear that the DNA from the cheek swabs taken from Lumumba did not match the DNA from the "unknown male" found in Meredith's vagina. So regardless of whoever the "unknown male was it certainly wasn't Lumumba. The cops should have released him at that point and regarded Amanda's retraction of her 1.45 witness testimony as valid. The fact that the cops let him languish in the cells for two weeks needs their explanation NOT Amanda's, nor anyone else's for that matter. If Lumumba was still "rotting in prison today" as you claim it would be as a result of investigative thuggery and prosecutorial criminality, nothing less. Amanda Knox was banged up in prison for 4 years for crimes she did not commit. On the 24th January the ECtHR ruled that her rights were violated in multiple instances during her interrogation. These violations totally "undermined the proceedings as a whole" of both the murder and calunnia charges against her. Amanda has now more right than ever to tell the world of her miscarriage of justice so that others don't suffer the same fate. Only a psychopath would argue otherwise.

The lack of knowing the actual facts of this case is glaringly apparent by most of these ignorant comments. They are mostly just personal attacks based on that ignorance. If all the supposed evidence against Knox and Sollecito that you read in these comments were true, the Supreme Court would not have acquitted them. In fact, the five SC judges found that: "10. The intrinsic contradictory nature of the evidence, emerging from the text of the appealed verdict, in essence undermines the connective tissue of the same, leading to its annulment. In fact, in the presence of a scenario marked by many contradictions, the referral judge should not have come to a verdict of guilt, but - as previously observed - should have reached a verdict of not guilty, given Article 530, section 2, Italian Code of Criminal Procedure.
