A very complex work that certainly requires a lot of study from both the composer and the performing choir.👍👍👍

Yes, I think they did very well. I'm known to enjoy a bit of syncopation :-) There is a lot of canonic, imitative and other forms of repetitive writings, so that does lighten the load a bit. From a geeky point of view, the special feature of this composition is that most of the motives were derived by matching solmisation syllables to the words of the text, e.g., 'ho-di-e Christ-us' is 'sol', 'mi', 're', 'mi', 'ut'. This is a fun way to generate musical material, and I think it works well here (if I may say so myself).

Hello Tamsin, thank you for the entertaining information. I admit that the syncopation in such a polyphonic work is too much for me to listen to. And when I see the many younger members of the choir, I get the impression that they must have pretty musical heads to handle such a work. My respect!
